Demons and angels! DM is a conglomerate of attributes from both i should like to think. He does have his few good points too. And his moustache is to die for.

Actually you see people like DM in real life too........to different extends of shu bolay choon...roughness...
Depends on your home life too on what type of person you become later in life.......and DM had Motiben as big sister.......and no parents...

Its true that you do see many people like DM (a little crude and unpolished). These are reared to believe that men must behave that way, domineering and rough (my word is law in this kingdom types). But beneath the rough exterior you do get glimpses of the real man under all that bluster -- hardworking, self-made, honest, of high moral character (he is faithful to his dead wife for so many years and he was at his prime when she died), filial.

Santu will bring that person inside outside of his rough shell..........that is what we were seeing in glimpses ....he was becoming playful and caring as a husband and as a father.......not just dharampur ka malik...but all of a sudden his whole world shattered in a million pieces and those he trusted most betrayed him......and kept something which would have hurted him as badly then as it did now........Santu is still not up to his mental level of understanding......if u recall...once they showed him talking to subhi's portrait explaining santu's qualities when Santu had asked him for chutacheira for hiten's laagan.......
DM knows how soft Santu's heart is and once he absorbs everything, he will rectify himself...this much I amsure.....cause underneath that hard shell is a human being with feeling and compassion...
