I think bandini is just corrected and edited version of kasam se. with a bit different culture, new environment and new actor + character
KS(kasam se) had the same plot gal ran away (pia) at her wedding day, here guy does it and sister get stuck with groom. here they made excuse kundali and bride stuck with DM
like ks family and hubby does not accept marriage then slowly with her behaviour they turn towards her
same happen with santoo
guys sis always hate her sis in law : compare jigyas and moti ban
bani in ks ask divorce to save her hubby 's ijjat and prop here santu does it
bani's youngest sis ran with her nephew in ks here also sis ran with hiten
so old wine in the new bottle
let's see how they unfold the story

OMG,......I was thinking the same when I watch the show. BT and their recycle drama.

Ekta mai ko aur kya aata hai? rishton ke saag mein hume itna uljha deti hai ke phir sar dard ke mare cheekhta hai MUJHE IS SERIAL SE BACHAO? Wake up ekta sudhar ja ur era is over get over rehashing ur old serials as naya masala before people remember u as ek(thi)ta!!!

Only 1 small difference that I have seen is that before Bani did the divorce charade,JW was already in love with Bani,and audience got to know it,even if it was not explicit.

When Bandini started,i strongly felt that it had the same theme,I still watched it because i loved KS,and wanted to see how it would play out with different actors.

Khemi=Pia and Hiten= Pushkar. Every scene in Bandini,is a copy of KS,each and every scene.Shows that EK is starved for creativity.

In KS,i liked Pushkar,here I just cannot tolerate Hiten-Khemi story.I was hooked because of Santu-DM,but now it has become all about Hiten-Khemi.Hiten-Khemi helped me wean myself from this show :(

Now that you mentioned it, I remember. Yes, Rano married Jiggy's younger son (was his name Sahil?). Since Rano is Bani's sister and Bani is Sahil's aunt (her husband being the guy's uncle), that makes Rano Sahil's aunt too. So Hiten-Khemi is not the first 'maasi-bhanja' relationship.

OMG yes, now that you said that Rano and Sahil had a maasi - bhanja relationship, I remember it now, although I watched KS for the first 2/3 years, still I didn't thought about it 😲😆

BT is famous for recycling their stories. Kasturi was a rehash of Katin to Hoga. One of the tracks in KS - the child requiring bone marrow transplant and the couple getting together to produce a sibling for the purpose was a copy from another show, Kasauti Zindagi Ki

In fact,we at KS,when it was going on,used to look at KZK to get the future KS track.It used to be so funny!

Nivedita Basu,the then creative director,said once that BT doesnt believe in making new stories.According to her,creativity means dishing out old wine in new bottles-using the same story in different places with different faces.

Now it seems Santu will sign the divorce papers.Which is outright nonsense.The time this story is based on,is very conservative.I wonder what they will show next.

How could they spoil another good show this way.
