Looks like shanky told DM abt Santu,as a girl whom he was in love with,and DM was impressed with his honesty.Hence this promotion from son in law to son.

OR

Shanky told him the truth and later on withdrew the statement saying it was just a joke.Hence DM's joke at the house.Because he said"u thought only u can joke?"

When shanky sees santu,DM will know instantly who that girl was.

Rest i dont even want to say,santu is in for more trouble.I hope she marries shanky and live peacefully,with shanky because,he knows how to respect women.

I am plain irritated with DM and his malik-sm.
