6^th April - The burden of a promise...

The episode starts off with Meghna appreciating Santu's beauty and commenting how pretty she must have looked in her shaadi ka joda... She tells DM she wants to see what he gave her for her wedding, and while baa and taru try to make excuses DM immediately agrees.. The extent he's willing to go to fulfil a promise and more over one made to subhadra scares me.. Really really scares me..I mean while i would love to fool myself thinking that he has started to see Santu as his wife, the truth of the matter is that he's a long long away from there.. He has come a long way from how he was at the beginning of his marriage but he has a really long way to go, and the first step in that path would be to let Subhadra go... If not let go, but at present atleast stop devoting his life to doing Subhadra puja..

I loved the Hiten part of the Hiten Monghi scene... At some point or other in life we all realise the value of each rupee/paisa we earn and how much of effort goes behind it.. Hiten, who probably did not have to worry about money till now, noes how much of effort goes behind each paisa that Madho solanki's family manages to save.. The poor chap was up all night making 100 cups and he had to sell it only for 2 Rs. And Pinu kaka is playing guardian angel to Hiten.. Very very sweet...

Kadambari finally gets to know that her family is fixing her rishta with Meghna's unnamed son... She is very uipset.. Goes to DM to try and talk sense into him, which proved to be as effective as talking to a wall... DM tells her in a tone that leaves no room for questions that this marriage will happen.. Because it was the dying wish of Subhadra.. He tells her that her mother wanted this to happen, therefore it will...Kadu had asked why her consent wasn't taken? DM gets all riled up for that.. He tells her that a marriage will be fixed by the parents only... Kadu goes away leaving DM fuming...

Kadu pleads her case with taru.. She tells her that all her life she has lived by what her father wants, she doesn't want the same in her marriage also.. She's an educated girl, she wants a partner, not a malik... Taru says that she understands, but she cannot do anything about it.. Dm had given his word, and this marriage will take place come what may... Poor kadu, actually not so poor also, but she's stuck in a bad place.. The generation gap, if you can call it that, is very visible here... Kadu can try all she wants, but unfortunately for her, just because this was her mother's last wish, it will happen... DM will make sure of that...

Santu and Meghna finish puja and meghna asks her if she can call her tum, as she's very much younger than her.. Santu tells her that she can and asks her to tell her more about malkin.. Meghna, tells her that Subhadra was such a person that it would take ages for her to describe her.. She tells her that subhadra loved poetry.. She recites a poem, a favourite of subhi, something about life and living it.. Santu doesn't understand and tells her the same, that she doesn't know English, nor does she know how to read or write.. Meghna tells her that it doesn't matter and that DM himself doesn't k now the language and he himself learnt it from subhi.. Meghna then tells her about this rishta fixed by subhi and her, between kadu and her son.. She tel;ls her that this was when the children were very young, now kadu has grown up, she's changed soo much and she doesn't want to do anything against her wishes as that would hurt subhi the most.. She asks her to ask kadu what her view is on the marriage... Santu with great trepidation says yes...

All in all, an interesting episode.. We got to know, Subhi's death was a progressive condition, an illness and not some accident... The preview has me all angry and sad though.. santu has become a wind up toy in that house.. I felt really bad for her, the way DM told her off.. I'm sure ki by the next episode he'll realise that he was wrong.. But the poor girl's heart must've shattered with the words, all this respect she's receiving is only until meghna and rasik are there... Tomorrow is going to be a power packed episode, one way or the other...

P.S- For those in India, Bandini repeats at 1 am as well now... So the repeats are at 1 am, 3.30am, 5am, 1.30 pm, 4pm and 7.30pm along with the original telecast at 10pm...

Lovely analysis as always, and you are right, it scares me as well .. he's obsessed about that promise .. but I am happy in a way that it's nothispromise .. otherwise all hell would have broken loose .. obviously this time Santo is going to win and prevent Kaduu from risking her married life .. and this will be the first step for DM .. to move on !

Sukhi, 1am and at 3.30am.. NDTV's sure riding well on this winning horse...

Meghna has shown that she has heart of gold .. but now she and Rasik should gang up and show that they have razor sharp brains as well .. somehow the FRIENDS must come to know that everything is NOT well between DM and Santo .. and how Santo is being treated in the house.. maybe they can set things right.. give a crash course to DM on marriage or something !

Mongi wakes up and is happy to see that Hiten has made all the cups.. Hiten taunts her that he was sleeping and it was infact bhoori who made them.. (LOL).. Mongi gets mad and says no need to be so happy, we have to sell them now.. they go to the market and Mongi tells him to sell it for 2 rupees each.. and if someone bargains, then you can give for 1 rupee.. and the lowest you can go is 50 paisas, but not less than that.. Hiten gets shocked that he worked so hard and that's all they can sell it for.. Mongi says, 'so what do you want.. 200'.. (LOL, must watch scene).. Hiten thinks to himself that after all night's hard work, all they'll get is 8 rupees profit.. he manages to sell all of them.. and Pinu kaka also comes and buys one (he looks so good with the black pagdi).. Mongi comes back and is happy that he has sold them all..

Kaddu is about to go out and moti ben stops her.. Kaddu asks her for the reason and moti ben ends up telling that her marriage has been fixed with Meghna's son.. Kaddu gets shocked and goes up to question DM.. DM gets mad at her and tells her that Subhi herself had given her word to Meghna.. and it is final and nothing can be done about it.. Kaddu is upset and she leaves.. DM gets mad and tells Subhi what kind of daughter we have, i have to ask her now.. DM is looking really good in the scene..

Mongi comes home and happily tells Nanaji that they earned 200 today.. Nanaji tells Mongi that they'll keep 8 rupees only as that's how much they normally earn.. and we should give the rest back to him as it is his hard earned money.. and Hiten has to pay back for manjari fully so i want his punishment to be over soon.. they come out and notice Hiten sleeping.. Nanaji tells Mongi to make sure when he gets up, she gives him same food as themselves.. Mongi unhappily agrees..

Kaddu tells moti ben that she's not happy with the proposal but moti ben tells her it is impossible to change DM's mind so it's better she accepts it.. i think that there is another guy in Kaddu's life.. because she quickly changes her sentence and says that the reason she does't want to marry is because she hardly knows the guy... anyways, let's see what happens..

Santo and Meghna are in the mandir and they chat up.. Meghna asks Santo to ask Kaddu whether she is happy with the proposal or not.. Santo grudgingly agrees.. poor Santo is going to be receiving a lot of flak both from DM and from Kaddu.. i hope she handles the situation well..

and i am kinda mad at DM.. in the preview they show that DM yells at her about not touching Subhi's stuff.. just buy her her own clothes..!!! problem solved.. why doesn't he send someone else to do some shopping for her.. i really hope this whole mess is solved..

I am REALLY mad at DM right now - REAL mad ..

I just DETEST the way he talked to Kaduu .. what happens to the father inside him when he is required to be one? I just dont get it ! Is he so out of touch with the father in him?? It sure does look like!
