24th March - A man and his wife...
Episode starts off with DM walkin into his room,Hitens words resounding in his ears.. He sits down on the bed, sighs.. his eyes expressing the torment and the pain Hiten has put him through.. He talks to subhadra, telling her what hiten told him and admitting to her that her son is right.. Baa, bapuji and taruben are at the door, listening to what he's saying.. Everyone is truly moved coz of DM's anguish.. Beautiful scene in which the three of them see and to an extent understand the conflict which DM is in.. Baa tells him that now that Hiten has told the entire story and it has been proved that he's innocent, DM should take back the sentence.. DM says that to do that he needs to find the real culprit.. As Dharamraj, it is his dharam to find the real culprit and as hiten's father, it is his duty to do so... Absolutely wonderful scene, nothing will stop DM from finding and punishing the culprit...
At the village, Santu throws a coin into the well and thanks khodiyar maa for saving hiten.. Champakali is also there, she asks her how she's going to convince the villagers.. Santu tells her that she will tell the villagers that hiten is innocent... Santu goes to them, and tells them that hiten dint kill manjari, that when mongi started crying he removed the rope and his friends were the ones who helped him take the car out.. The ungrateful villagers, led by parashuram kaka redfuse to believe her.. They tell that for Santu, this cow and its killing would've been the most important thing, but for dharampur's malkin, her family is her priority.. Santu tries to convince them otherwise, but they pay no heed to her and walk off.. Only nanaji is left behind, and santu asks him if he believes her?? Nanaji says that he believes her to death, but the fact is that there is evidence against hiten and he would rather go with the evidence.. Santu tells nanaji that but the truth is that Hiten is innocent and moreover, he's a part of her family.. And it is her dharam to go support her family.. Nanaji says that it is his dharam to be with his people.. Santu asks nanaji what she is to do, for the first time, he is opposing her.. Nanaji says that this was the same question that Arjun asked Sri krishna.. Lord krishna told arjun that though he is fcaing is own people, it is his duty to fulfil his duty, his dharam.. Santu, takes her nanji blessing... Though right now i'm not all that fond of nanaji, i loved the Krishna-Arjun comparison...Santu is just as confused as Arjun was on seeing Pitamah, dronacharya, kripacharya on the battlefield.. Santu also has to go against the people who have raised her like their own daughter, and against her nanaji, who has single handedly brought her and her sisters up.. And the courage she showed by standing up to them was simply marvellous..
Back at home, DM is with pinakin, when pinakin tells him about a diamond merchantrs conference somewhere(dint get the name).. DM says that the conference is important, but he has to find the real culprit and that he cant go.. He calls maulik and gives him some diamonds and asks him to describe them.. Maulik takes the magnifying glass and describes the diamonds, he tells that they are not mahiyavanshi diamonds.. DM is pleased with Maulik and tells him that he will be going to the conference.. Maulik is overjoyed.. DM asks him for the reciept for the 1.25 lakh donation he supposedly made.. Maulik says that he'll get it, and goes to his room followed by Taru who was also there.. Taru is very worried as to how maulik will manage, when maulik gets a fake reciept book out and prepares a fake reciept.. Taru tells him that he has to be very careful and asks him to throw the reciept book out.. Maulik does and goes and gives the reciept to DM.. This scene truly showed Maulik as the chameleon he is...Backstabber of the first order he is.. Now i'm a 100% sure that he's behind the murder...
Santu is drying chillies when bapuji walks past her.. she calls him bapuji, and he stops and asks her if she called him bapuji, she nods.. he seems kind of happy and aks her what she wants to say.. She tells him about her futile visit to the village, how the villagers are not believing that hiten is innocent.. Taruben overhears and starts off on her as to why she went there and did that.. Baa and Dm come there, and Dm stops taruben.. Taruben says that Santu shouldn't have gone to the village and baa agrees with her.. DM says that you people are absolutely right, it should have been one of them, baa, bapuji, taru or he himself who went there.. He further goes to say that Santu started off what has to be done to save hiten, and that he will bring it to conclusion.. He will prove his sons innocence with the required proof.. As he says this Santu tears up and the karyeshu mantri shloka is played in the background.. Wonderful scene.. just brilliant... As DM walks off, he looks at santu for a second, and that shows the amount fo effect she has on him.. On a very emotional ground, agreed he's not shouting off rooftops that santu is his wife, but in his own way, with the tiny gestures he keeps asserting that she is.. And its beautiful to watch it on screen...
Champakali throws out the trash and the fake reciept bnook falls out with Santu picks up.. being illiterate, she does not want to throw it out as it could be something of importance.. She walks past the kitchen where birwa is wonmdering how to make something for hiten.. And in a very cute scene that follows, Santu teaches Birwa how to cook the dish.. Birwa is all happoy and comes out of the kitchen.. Santu shows her the reciepot book and tells her that she doesn't know what to do with it.. Birwa very cutely says that if she had found the book, she'd go give it to her father, and he'd be very happy.. Santu takes up her advice and goes to DM with the reciept book... DM takes the book and realises that Maulik has fooled him.. He asks her to go and then takes out the reciept with maulik gave him for confirmation.. He calls up maulik and tells him that he wants to go shopping with him.. Maulik is overjoyed and happily agrees.. DM and maulik are in the car, maulik is listening to music, while DM looks on, without giving out anything.. The car stops in front of the trust where maulik supposedly donated the money.. The episode ends at that...
The entire thing was just brilliant.. The scene in which santu teaches birwa how to cook and birwas advice as well was just sooo sweet.. And the scene that followed was to die for.. DM played his part perfectly.. he asks santu to get out lest someone accuses her for framing maulik as well,, soooo sweet it was... and the ending.. he was like a hunter, baiting maulik and luring him into the trap.. and maulik falls hook line and sinker.. a must watch episode.. the character building, story building, chemistry everything was just superb....
