Mrunal Jain offered role opposite Divyanka Tripathi

The TV hunk Mrunal Jain who is currently seen in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Bandhan had debuted with Ekta Kapoor's Kahani Hamari Mahabharat Ki and had also done Ekta Kapoor's Bandini was approached for a role opposite Divyanka Tripathi in Ye Hai Mohabatein.

Says a source from Ekta's show, "Mrunal would have fit the bill perfectly, but the dates couldn't be worked out as Bandhan's set is in Umargaon. We wanted him to shoot with us immediately, which was not possible for him."

"Mrunal was keen on taking up the offer as Divyanka is top actress of TV right now as the show is a huge hit and also returning to Ekta Kapoor's camp would have been homecoming for him. but it was highly impossible to shuttle between the two far-off sets," adds another source.

Mrunal's loss will become someone else's gain. We are sure Destiny will have a better offer for Mrunal Jain in its kitty which will be unveiled with the passage of time!
