question to ponder

dev raised a valid question today

what shall we choose between family and morality ?

he gave the example of vibhishan
in ramayan he went against his brother ravan
he supported ram and defeated his brother
some people say he was a bad brother
some say he was a moral person

what do we do in real life ?
even if we want to support the right
can we do it always ?
for some reason or the other at times
we end up supporting the wrong

we say taht yes ye must be morally right
but i guess practically it is impossible always
let us be very true

please share your views

It's a loaded question Dia. Morality should come first in my opinion. One should never side with bad. Look at VR, Dev wants to support him. Why, just because he is Dev's brother?? That's not right. If he can stand with his brother, why can't Darpan, Ganesh, NR, Kajri get revenge. For me morality comes first.

I've never called Vibhishan a traitor and I most importantly I don't think he is a traitor. Not many people are strong enough to do the right thing. That describes the strength of ones character. I'd rather be called a traitor than side with evil.

Well definitely for me morality is above everything including my family since if their is no morality in me thn i won't b able to face my inner soul which is the most important thing in my life. But as you said tht really can we make such decision, I will say it depends on the situation n we being independent or not. I'm a girl,dependent on family, hv no other home except my family, living among all with indian mentality, So definetely i would raise my voice but only my voice😔 and nothing else i could do no matter how much i wish for it.
So yes definetely there r few factors which if r in favour of you thn definetely you are going to take a full stand, Being independent is one of the main factors involved.
N somewhere dev also knows it and offcourse he hasn't seen the world except his family n so has lack of sharp mind

yes at times we are bounded by situations
loved ones also make us helpless at times
it is really tough to take that stand at times
