Mass murder on 'Balika Vadhu' for 15-year time leap -

Balika Vadhu to take a 15-year leap after two original writers and director quit; the entire cast save one will apparently be killed off

Amid rumours of 'Balika Vadhu', one of the longest running daily soaps, going off air, TV industry insiders tell us that the show will take a time leap with a romantic storyline set to replace the original plot " trials and tribulations of a child bride. In the process, the entire cast will apparently be killed off.

A source says, "Akhiraj (Sunil Singh), in a fit of rage, starts gunning down the whole village and the central charcaters, including Anandi (Toral Rasputra) and Dadisa (Surekha Sikri) will be shot dead. Jagya (Shakti Anand) will call the cops who will eventually gun down Akhiraj. The show will take a 15-year leap post which they will show Nimboli (Anandi's daughter) growing up."

When we contacted Purnendu Shekhar, one of the original writers of 'Balika Vadhu', he said he has quit the show. "I parted ways with the channel over creative differences. I had written the script till the time leap, but this is definitely not what I wrote for them. Both Gajra Kottary (co-writer) and I have left the show, and I don't know who the new writers are." Kottary says, "Yes, it was a difference of opinion with the channel and we don't wish to elaborate on it." Apparently, even director Sidharth Sengupta has left the show. The source adds, "It was a change in the core concept that made the writers and director quit.

Balika Vadhu has followed a certain pattern for seven years, and if that core is changed, then it might as well be a different show." The makers have now signed Avinash Sachdeva (of Qubool Hai fame) as the new lead and the hunt for a young Nimboli is on. "As far as I know, they are now planning to narrate a mature love story in the show. However, I have only had a character discussion with the team so far," says Avinash. Channel authorities refused to comment on the story.

Hey thanks for sharing.

Instead of this, they could have just as well ended the show and started a fresh one. Anyways, it's the maker's call on what they want to do.

As far as I am concerned, I will have all the reasons to quit watching.

In a desire to watch a happy and inspirational life of Anandi in Version 2, I sticked around on and off. And even then I mostly got disappointments. But due to my own loyalty and emotional connection with original BV characters like J, A and Dsa, I found it hard to leave BV and the forum, completely.

I don't have any emotional connection with Nimboli or the new gen. I was mostly after women empowerment and inspiring stories of suppressed women of BV. Since that will not be the concept anymore, will call it quits.

Thanks to writers, makers, characters and actors for a long journey of 8 years. Wish all those who have moved or will be moving out of BV sets now, come up with something new and equally exciting for us.

No mention of JaGan yet. Appears Jagya is yet to stay in Version 3, but may be on a side-character basis.

Good to know, Anandi's life journey is ending. Although very sad that CVs could neither give her a happy existence nor a happy ending.

She only just got her daughter back and now she will be lost forever.

DSa-Anandi will probably make the favourite jodi of all the jodis in BV world.

This sounds really stupid. Why can't they just bring new show instead? or if they want the BV name then a new season can do.

Going by the article, Looks like Jagya will survive.

They could have ended the show with Anandi Shiv and Ganga Jagya with a happy note

Instead of showing anything substantial now they are killing everyone and we will have this in our memory.

Good they are killing Anandi too

Looks like Jagya will be Dadusa for the next version

Well, anandi got some happiness before her death when Nandini has started to call her ma.

Dadisa and Anandi are inseparable in life and in death.

Jagya maybe the link between the past and the present.

Akheraj succeeded in the end.

Well right now with so many things coming in it's difficult to take all these at once.

So Balika Vadhu is being killed in the tussle between it's creative team and the channel.

Well never expected Anandi to have a happy life.So no surprises there.

Her story will remain as an unfinished painting on a canvas.

Now without Anandi the character with which I have had emotional attachment this show will be just like any other show. for me.Nandini can not take the place of Anandi in viewers hearts .

At least if the same creative team of writers and directors remained then there would have been something to look forward to because this particular team of creatives have had many critically acclaimed shows to their credit.I may have issues with the way she conducted herself when Shiv's death scene happened but still do believe that she is one of few good writers we have.

Only one thing is good and that is Anandi is going out of the show along with her creator Purnendu Shekhar.

I'd rather see Anandi's photo with a garland than see her in this mess.

In a way akheraj failed. He particularly wanted to kill Nandini. But failed to do so.

I am glad for that otherwise we would have to see Dadisa and Dadusa in Anandi and Jagya , long live kachhe umar ke pakke rishtey.

Already messed up with Anandi's journey . Dont want to see any more darkness in her life,.

Atleast now I will think she is happy with Shiv in heaven😃
