Nandini while she was in Jhalra considered herself as an orphan and still doesn desptie assurances by the self proclaimed mother assuring her that she is all the child needs.

If they want to end Anandi's character it will end after mother daughter reunion and the mother daughter duo have formed a bond.

How does growing up in BH or with Shekhar family makes them less orphaned?

They may have lot of uncles aunts grandparents but are they all equivalent to parents?

Exactly, any child without parents is orphan only.
Despite having kakusa Shivam feels the absence of his father. That itself shows no one can replace a mother or father.

Nimboli was treated as orphan only in Jhalra. No one cared for her because they knew she doesn't have anyone of her own who will question if they ill treat Nimboli.

If after loosing their father the kids loose their mother as well, they will be orphans only. The emotional security and sense of belonging which a mother can give, cannot be given by anyone else.

What extraordinary things Ganga has done for her kids post her marriage with Jagya or after leap? All the time she had full support of husband/family. Just that Anandi does not have any visible support of her husband's family or Shiv is not there by her side, the perception about her should not be changed.

I don't care if Ganga dies, but I would be happy if she is alive. Atleast jagya's family life will be happy.
@ Bold: Ganga behaves like a normal bahu / mother ever since she was married to J. She minds her life, family, kids and leads a meaningful existence.

Her kids are being raised in the environment they were born to live. Ganga hasn't be raising her kids anywhere and everywhere.

Ganga may not be adding much value to show, but her presence in Jagya's and her kids life is visible.

Anandi on the other hand, raised her one kid at her ex-husbands place and another one, she hasn't even given the identity. Even if she dies tomorrow, it will barely make any difference to her kids. They were anyways used to being raised by others.

As I said somewhere else also; it is not about Ganga, it is about Anandi.

Anandi doesn't make me feel like she is a genuine mother, Ganga does.

@ bold: Bang on - well said. But Anandi as a mother has never managed to give the above. She even treats her own kids the way she treats her students.

The very fact that his mother caring about a girl could make Shivam so unsettled. Why did he feel unsettled? Simple it was because he believed his mother's love should be exclusively for him and for his sister. That sense of entitlement comes only when the children are well cared for.
He is so used to having his mother's love.

It is not Jagya Ganga who are raising Shivam it is Anandi it is she who takes decisions regarding his life.

Anandi is raising her son in her grand mother's house. The house belongs to Dsa.Nobody can stop Anandi from living with her Dsa.Too bad if her ex husband also lives there.

Anandi has every right to her Dsa's love and support and it is Dsa's prerogative on whom she bestows her love and support.

Well it is quite obvious from the way Shivam is attached to Anandi, that his mother is everything for him and that is not possible without Anandi being his emotional support.

On other hand Nimboli lacks that support in her life otherwise she wouldn't have longed for her mother.

Anyways each one has his/her own way of looking at things. I don't find Anandi a failed mother.

@bold blue, Anandi was doing the same thing while she was at Udaipur, ironically she was termed as she has no story!!

Lets wait to see if Anandi dies before giving identity to her kid.

Anandi when she went to Udaipur as Shiv's newly wedded wife she stepped into a world which is totally different from what she has been used to.
She had Sumi and Bhairon as MIL and FIL but they were no different from her parents
Suguna was more of an elder sister to her rather than SIL J was a friend to her more than a husband.
Udaipur was her sasural in real sense. She was just getting to know them and understand them when the SaJa happened.
They decided to tell Anandi Shiv story through Shekhar family drama because family dramas are what Indian audience watch.

No, Anandi was busy interfering in other people's lives unlike Ganga who minds her own life.
Anyways, I have lost interest mother daughter reunion. I no longer care if Anandi ever manages to tell anything to Nimboli or not. Neither Jhalra nor jaitser are interesting.

The story is getting boring and intolerable day by day.

I don't care what Anandi does in her life next. She will remain hopeless for me. I waited too long and too hard to see something good about Anandi's life. But she only became more irritable and annoying with every passing episode.

If his mother didn't accompany him for his drawing competion because she was busy with her work he didn't go around asking his great grand mother Kakusa or Kaki he just took his locket with his parent's pictures in it.

That shows how much his mother means to him.

This son values what his mother has given him

If all this makes her a useless mother then nothing can be said.

People find it difficult to accept why we say that children(Mannu Abhi , Shivam) grew up like siblings but Shivam does not look Jagya as father figure.

They grew up as sibling is clear from Jagya's statement when he said all the three brothers about Nandini , ki tum logo ki behen---

Infact DS told umpteen number of times that for her Jagya Anandi's kids are same.

But it is clearly shown by CVs that Shivam misses his father . He was saying Abhi is so lucky to have a father like Jagya. When he see a father , son bond , he misses his father.

But he never look Jagya as his father figure. for him it is always Shiv ,

It is clearly shown that Shivam wants to be as strong as his father.
When he goes for any exam , competition he needs his parents, Anandi and Shiv accompanying him, be it as person or spirit. No one else can take that place

All children whose parents are dead may not necessarily become orphans if they have grandparents and other close family members to look after them as their own children... calling such children as orphans would be an insult to their family members who raise them as their own.

If that is the definition of an orphan, than in spite of having adoptive parents, the adopted children will continue as orphans.

Morerover, anandi's children can never grow up battling against odds. What odds can they have in their life with such a supportive father-figure jagya and a great grandmother and all the wealth at their disposal?😕
