It is not the doctors but the nurses who kept Aruna alive. Indeed some doctor even tried to hush up some report . Even the nurses kept her alive because she was one of them.

Not all doctors are pro life.

They are forced to keep the patient alive despite no hope because of the relatives too especially in case of young and terminally ill patients
Parents most of the times don't like to give up and it hurts to see parents selling everything without a thought for future.
They do it because they have to convince themselves that they have given their all

These are stories of some real patients relatives and doctors

And we cannot generalise that only pro life vadis are right thinking people. If someone differs, there must be some reason for it and that person cannot become wrong thinking just because of that.

Aruna Shaunbaug was not allowed to die with dignity. Her relatives had abandoned her, they were helpless, and it became a matter of pride for the nurses community to keep her alive.
Her life was a living hell. Could these so called right thinking people connect with her pain?

How defence changes?

First it was tomtommed that Mangala did not trust and she feared something bad will happen to Nimboli if she was taken away.

Now her intentions have become known, the defence is that selfishness is ok.😆

Now she has become righteous, thinking, introspective. Her introspectiveness about possessing Nimboli has prevented her from doing something for that girl. Her righteousness, her helpfulness will not coverup her ignoring law, ignoring help from others just to keep Nimboli for herself as if she is a toy.

Her intentions were always clear - she loved that kid. There is no denial. But yes she is not selfish and she does not savour someone's child.

First it was said she is selfish to save the baby, then she doesn't have it in her to take against Akhi - when she took a plunge on Kundan - it was said her methods are wrong or rather she was responsible for this r**e. When it came down to how much she cares for N and gives life to her, she was again bashed for warning Kishore. Now she has introspected that she should have done more for the society and is ready to call Vidhayaksa - still all people can see is that she is selfish.

Can't help it. This is how Mangala knows and lives. The onus is not on her to return Anandi's baby - that is Anandi's duty. For Mangala, the girl she is raising is someone who was left to kill, and this is the best way she can save or raise the girl.

She doesn't owe it to any random social worker to hand away a girl she has raised for many years.

Doctors of the hospital were also in this - all the deans (since the assault on her taken place) and several doctors were involved - that is how she was given a room permanently in the hospital.

Mangala's story is being narrated nicely and this character is evolving extremely well.
Is Mangala's love selfish ? Yes and No.
She is Nandini's saviour and gradually became a mother figure. She is kind, has strong maternal instincts.
But does she truly love her ? Then how can she watch her slogging day and night like a bonded laborer, or getting beaten black and blue by Harki or Akhiraj? or getting humiliated every moment she is awake till date.
Would she have tolerated this if Nandini was her own child?
No, Nandini has been her solace, and became her reason for living. But what about Nandini ? What will be her future with Mangala? Good, as time progresses, Mangala is realizing it. This track is damn interesting.
The actor is a pleasure to watch.

Yes, most girls live a life like that only. Mangala could not have given her own child a better life than this. A small difference would have been - instead of slogging in this house - her girl would be slogging in her sasra. Anandi, Ganga all had same life initially. Even Nimboli's friend has similar life. Beatings - at times are due to Nimboli's own actions though. Still Mangala tries to save her as much as she can.

We do not know - but since the clothes are saved by Mangala, perhaps she thought that making beendni of the house is only a stop gap arrangement to save the girl's life and then her parents can come and take her away. There is no other reason to save those clothes. Had Mangala thought that this girl will forever remain in this house, or if Mangala was selfish - she could have saved the first clothes that she brought for the child or any such thing - that is related to herself and not related to the biological parents.

The story is indeed interesting.
