The reality is different.

''

''The Sad Hidden Plight of Child Grooms

The consequences of early marriage on young girls are well known, but millions of underage boys are also married off each year"and there is little research on their fates.
But boys, too, are negatively affected by premature nuptials
These young men have few advocates acting on their behalf, both on a grassroots and international level, while the massive number of young girls married off each year has captured global attention.''
"I think there are a lot of interesting questions about how arranged marriage, particularly child marriage, influences the grooms," said Jeffrey Edmeades, a social demographer for ICRW,
Judith Bruce, a senior associate at the Population Council, explained: "Boys are not sexually initiated forcefully, they don't get pregnant, and divorce is not the threat to them that it is to girls. But, obviously, being a boy groom is not a good plan." etc...
."
That is why precisely one show should not be so arbitrary, dealing with only one side of the story and allows some viewers to make a mockery of the boy who is also forced to do something about he has not the faintest idea what that is supposed to mean. .Yes, the boys can not get pregnant, they can not die in childbirth but may die emotionally .And may attempt to get rid of what is imposed on them whether it is right or wrong way they do it. But what I see also from this story is that child groom never had an understanding of his own family while the girl bride had absolute support of all of them. To do what ever she wants in her life, to educate herself , to have a roof on her head, to remarry, to have a happy family again.. But once she was remarried, she never stopped interfering in his life.. Anandi is still a victim!? What about Ganga then... she was beaten up , raped, a real slave. Just because I don't see Anandi as the only victim does not mean I do not think about women's rights. It just means that I'm looking at the bigger picture.

👍🏼Can't agree more

There is enough research done on girls and it is obviously proven that the child marriage as deleterious on girls
Did the man who publish any concrete findings about the negative effects of child marriage on child grooms? Or was he just idly wondering if there leave and effects on those boys?

Where are the results of this studies done on the child grooms?

How damaging are these effects on boys as when compared to the girls?

How much does it do to the boys as compared to the girls is the question.
It is not about Anandi Ganga or Nandini nor it is about Jagya or Kundan

The fact is child marriage happen in feudal societies where there is male domination and child marriages and male domination do go together.

No organisation spends so much in in the interests of the child brides victims of child marriages without actually going into detailed research.

Quoting some demographer's idle musings as facts is not really enough to prove that boys as big a price as girls do in child marriage.

Studies have been proved that the number of child marriages happened has d girl who is under-aged rather than boy
i am not shocked with some of replies as i know what kind of society i live in

i just want to ask what if that child bride would have an "extra marital affair " after knowing the definition of marriage and accepting the same child marriage when she is grown.
She knew she is married to some one even accepted him got support of that man but one fine day she realises that he is not made fr her and put every blame on child marriage .What we will think of the girl??
Chalo once she is spared there she realised the guy she had affair wt is not right for her n want to come back to her ex husband ...wat we will call that
If we think same for the guys its bad ...taaliyaan fr the society 👏👏

If guys has to go through emotional turmoil...a girl has to go from emotional ,physical and social turmoil
Same as guys surrounded by gals r called stud n girls surrounded by guys r called s**t

if this makes me a female chauvinist ...yes i am 😃

I'd really like to see all the women, women feminists, female chauvinist, all the other mothers who are more than happy to marry their sons at the age of 8-9 because it is perfectly good and convenient for their sons..

Also a woman who believes that the woman's whole life is destroyed just because her husband had the extra marital affair can hardly be called a female chauvinist. On the contrary, these women themselves underestimate and belittle others women because of their thinking that the women's whole life depends only on their husband. Regardless of all the possible sources of support the women have to make something of their lives, they are not able to do it because the husband left them.. Really great women's empowerment !

😆 It's not worth spending time talking to people for whom the greatest sin is the adultery but at the same time find a thousand excuses to justify a mother who put her daughter' 's life in danger. But on the other hand another woman is completely irresponsible by getting pregnant because she put her life in danger and doesn't think of her son... for the same people . This is what we call ''not to be biased''😆
