Ok , this is no reply to one person just my overall view am not interested in saying anything more .
I repeat for the umpteenth time ...there is no set way to 'rebel ' .
Rebellion is neither laudable nor condemnable ...it is simply an uncontrollable reaction once the abuse is inflicted .
And abuse WAS inflicted here , no 2 ways about it . Even Gauri is victim .
What happens is this
Elders do an abuse thoughtlessly out of elderly ego or societal pressures .
Those who suffer it either gulp it or scratch them back .
Anandi gulped it .
He , the ladesar , scratched them back .
He outgrew their choice . He gave them a good hard slap . The girl was good , no problem with HER . But he wanted something else , he wanted to explore . His choices were taken away . He tried to re inforce them . He demanded his share in the ancestral property . The elders were miffed that he rejected their choices and control and shocked that he dared to ask his share . BAD BAD BAD . He started listening to his wife more and more after marraige.
This is exactly what happens , step by step in real life .
Now what the elders did ...they quickly sided with the docile victim as they found it hard to control the rebellious victim .
The lament was ...we did a mistake in getting this good girl married to the likes of YOU . more than we made a horrible mistake period , we played with LIVES .
and then the unreal story of good Anandi against bad Jagya started .
BV then decided to glorify the docile victim who gulped it all .
To do that they had to show the rebel always understanding her goodness , returning to her , regretting for his independent thinking .
Actually if one sees , the docility , to this level , is not healthy . The wish to rebel had gone so much that there were no expectations from life . She was ready to stay dully in that state even after he left her with her abusers .
Point of this hypocritical serial that professes to be against bal vivah is this docility is good and the rebel becoming docile the same way is welcomed .
There is no way to control the rebellion once it starts . The victim of child marraige and this kind of societal pressure can not just do bigamy , but freak out . In a bad bad way .
This is no justification ...simply a fact .
For my part as a viewer ...i found that the deeds of Jagya kept the serial going . Docility galore would have not interested me . The childhood interested me ...of both . Now the serial has reached saturation point . They r just pulling it and milking it till the last drop .
That actor who played Jagya , Shashank Vyas , i hope he gets a solid role in some new serial where he does not get unfair treatment . This serial did not even have him on the title montage for days . He has been a thorough professional and not ditched the serial though his importance was not really appreciated . He has gone on stolidly doing his job .
