If Agni parikshas have to beconducted BV wale can be a bit progressive and show Ram taking the agnipariksha to prove his love for his Sita.

Agnipariksha is a standard method of tesing.Different times different values.

It is not only the duty of the wife to prove her devotion and dedication to their marriage.Husband should prove that he is dedicated to this marriage too by standing next to his wife despite their disagreements.He should prove that difference of opinion will not make him love his wife any less.
