Anandi wanted to go with Shiv to Mumbai but Shiv made her understand that she could not and she too understood his point. She understood Ok but she was not ok with it. She had asked Shiv if she could accompany him till the airport and see him off. Shiv was fine with that. Shiv's flight was to depart from Udaipur at 5:35 pm. After lunch the entire family spent some time together. Anandi wanted to sulk alone but everyone was behaving like they were not going to see her for a long time. They were not leaving her alone. Meenu and Ira were looking at her like their daughter was married and it was the day of her bidaai. She did not understand that Shiv was to one going to go from Mumbai to Jaipur and then to Jaitsar so his favorites should have been cooked but her favorites too were cooked. Anandi and Shiv were in their room. She half heartedly gave him clothes to wear on the Udaipur to Mumbai journey. She too dressed for her journey from KB to airprt and back to KB. Shiv had changed and while making his hair he was whistling happy tunes. Anandi was listening to Judaai ke dard bhare nagme which Mahi and Ashima ever so kindly had downloaded and stored them on her I pod. It was time for Shiv to leave for the airport. Anandi settled in the car. Everyone came to say goodbye to Shiv. Shiv was smiling and he gave then thumbs up hiding it from Anandi. They were all smiling. The driver took Anandi and Shiv to the airport. At the airport Shiv saw that Anandi was very sad. He did understand why. They were standing in one corner. He lifted her face and wiped her tears. Anandi looked into his eyes. She could see herself in them.

Shiv: Anandi main samajhta hoon ki iss waqt aap par kya beet rahi hogi. Mumbai?

Anandi: Nahi aisa nahi hai. Wo..Aap mujhse naraaz hokar jaa rahe hain na? Maine phone ke saath note...

Shiv: Kar dijiye maaf agar ho gayi ho koi khata,

Is kadar meri chahat ka imtehan na lijiye,

Anandi looked at Shiv and he smiled. He had read her note but left it there like it was untouched only for her to see and believe that he had not read it.

Anandi: Iska matlab aapne padha tha. Mujhe pareshaan kyun kiya toh phir?

Shiv: Maine pareshaan kiya? Aur wo jo aap Time Pass ke liye mujhse baat nahi kar rahi thi uska kya?

Anandi: Wo bas yoon hi...

Shiv: Haan aap kare toh saat khoon maaf main karoon toh pati ko karo saaf. Ok one time offer. Mere saath Mumbai chalengi? Mumbai.. wo sheher ...

Anandi: Mumbai.. Wo sheher jahaan main apna sab kuch paa loongi. Nayi raahon par apne saathi ke saath mein uss sheher ko ek nayi nazar aur ek naye nazariye ke saath dekhna chahoongi. Par mera samaan?

Shiv: Packed.

Anandi: Meri ticket?

Shiv: Booked.

Anandi now understood the reason behind the 4 suitcases she had seen Nathu load in the trunk of the car. Shiv was going for 4 day to Mumbai and he did not require so many things. She had seen him pack only one large sized suitcase. A flood of emotions overcame Anandi and she hugged Shiv. Shiv too hugged her back. The people at the airport were gathered around them. Shiv tried to break away from Anandi but she wasn't letting go of him. Shiv was feeling shy as people were staring lovingly at them.

Shiv: Mujhe nahi pata tha Anandi ki aapko mere sath jaane se itni problem hai ki aap itna ro rahi hain. Meri company itni bhi boring nahi hai trust me.

Anandi: Main iss liye nahi ro rahi thi wo toh main..

Anandi looks up at a smiling Shiv. She saw that he was feeling shy and he ran his fingers through his hair. With his eyes Shiv tells her that they are being watched. Anandi felt shy and broke apart from Shiv. Shiv wiped her tears.

Anandi: Iska matlab? Aap mera buddhu bana rahe the?

Shiv: Nahi Mrs. Bhondu bana raha tha.

Anandi pouts and goes and sits in the waiting lounge. Shiv follows her there. She was sitting with her hands crossed at her chest. She was looking like a small girl who was denied her favorite doll. Shiv tried to manao her.

Shiv: Anandi flight ka time ho raha hai please chaliye. Flight par gussa kar lena. Abhi flight announce ho jayegi.

Anandi: Nahi main nahi jaaoongi. Aap jaaiye.

The flight was announced. Shiv was still manaoing Anandi. There were only 7 minutes for the flight to take off. The last call was announced to board the flight. Anandi suddenly got up.

Shiv: Kya hua?

Anandi: Chaliye.

Shiv: Hum nahi pahunch paayenge. Main tickets cancel karwake next flight par book kar leta hoon.

Anandi took Shiv's hand in hers and signed him to run. Shiv saw a spark in her eyes and her smile which told him that she was determined to get on this flight. They were running through the airport like 2 school kids who did not want to miss the bus for the school picnic. They reached just in time and got on the flight. Anandi took the window seat. They were laughing and panting at the same time. As the flight took off Anandi gripped on Shiv's hand. Her nails were digging in his arm. Once the plane was in the air Anandi let go off his hand. Shiv did not say anything to her. Anandi was looking outside the window. She was pointing towards things and then showing Shiv too. She expressed her wish to fly like a bird in the clouds just like the plane was. Suddenly her mood and tone changed.

Anandi: Aap iss window seat par baithiye na.

Shiv: Kyun achanak kya hua?

Anandi was not telling him anything. She just wanted to change seats with him. Shiv was about to get up when a stewardess walked past him slightly brushing aginst him. Shiv smiled. Anandi and Shiv changed seats. Anandi was reading a magazine when she noticed something. There was a weird expression on her face.

Shiv: Ab kya hua Anandi?

Anandi: Ye ladke itne besharam kaise ho sakte hain?

Shiv: Kya hua?

Anandi: Wo maine ek ladke ko dekha..Matlab uske saath jo ladki thi na wo abhi lavatory ki taraf gayi toh wo bhi peeche gaya. Kitna ganda lagta hai ladki baahar aaye aur wo bahar khada ho. Plane mein bhi train jaisa bartaav. Thodi der baad nahi jaa sakta?

Shiv just covered his mouth to hide his smile and closed his eyes. She was really innocent and unexposed to the ways of the world. Anandi just did not get Shiv's reaction. She was disgusted with the boys act and Shiv was smiling. Shiv saw her reaction and signed her to come close. He said something in her ear and with every word he must have said Anandi's eyes grew bigger and her mouth opened wide. She was in shock and was embarrassed with what Shiv told her. She just closed her eyes and covered her mouth with her hands. She did not want anyone to see her like that so she hid her face in his shoulders.

Anandi: Itni choti si jagah mein kaise manage kar sakte hain? Chee lavatory mein? Ye toh ek khobsoorat pal ek khoobsorat lamha hota hai wo aise kaise? Flight land ho jaaye phir hotel ya ghar jaane tak ruk nahi sakte? Ek minute aapko kaise pata?

Shiv: Mere bahut friend's hain jo apne experiences share karte hain. Anandi it is a different experience. Ab wo dono bhi Mile High Club ke members ban gaye.

Anandi did not know what a Mile High Club was so Shiv explained it to her. She looked towards the lavatory and thought that they too would be returning from Mumbai to Jaipur. She brushed off the idea and blushed profusely. She mentally smacked herself. A stewardess came to offer them drinks. Anandi politely declined and did not even let Shiv have any. She would drink or eat anything only after reaching the hotel. She would not want to use that lavatory or any other one. Shiv was laughing at her childish behavior. She hid behind a magazine. Anandi had seen and learnt many new things with Shiv but she had no idea she would get to learn something like this too. When the flight was descending Anandi again held Shiv's hand and her nails made marks in his arm. It was 7:30 pm when their filght had landed in Mumbai.

Anandi and Shiv got into the car the hotel had sent to receive them. The car took them to the Ramada Plaza Palm Grove at Juhu. Shiv had booked a Sea View Double Bed Non Smoking Superior Suite. They were escorted to their suite by the bell boy. He left after Shiv gave him a handsome tip. As soon as the bell boy left Anandi ran to the window and opened the curtains. It was a full screen window. The scene was very beautiful and romantic. The dark night sky was lit by twinkling stars and the full moon. The image of the moon was reflected on the waves of the sea. Shiv was very happy that Anandi was happy being in Mumbai. Shiv began to unpack his bag and kept his clothes in one of the cupboards. Anandi was lost in the romance of the sky and the sea. Shiv came and stood behind her. He whispered in her ears.

Shiv: Toh chaand aur sagar se aur kitni inspiration leni hai.

On hearing Shiv's voice Anandi came out of her thoughts.

Anandi: Kya?

Shiv: Dinner ke liye nahi chalna?

Anandi: Main bhi na bhai thodi der mein hum dono ke bags unpack ho jaayenge phir chalte hain.

Shiv: Maine apne kar liye hain aap apne kar lijiye.

Anandi: Aapne kyun kiye mujhe keh diya hota main kar deti.

Shiv: It's ok Anandi. Aap apni bags unpack kar lijiye phir fresh hokar hum dinner ke liye chalte hain. Main help desk par jaakar restaurant aur kal se Mumbai tour ke liye information lekar aata hoon.

Shiv left and Anandi opened her bags. She saw that Shiv had packed Salwar kameezes, one of her denims and a top and also a saree which was not hers. It was gift wrapped. She placed her clothes in the wardrobe. She also opened the other bags and kept her accessories, footwear and makeup stuff which she was sure Ashima and Saachi had helped Shiv pack. She was searching for her other things. She smacked herself on the forhead and laughed for the blunder Shiv committed. Anandi called Ashima for help.

Ashima: Hey Anandi tum log hotel pahunch gaye? How was the flight? Kaise laga hum sab ka surprise? Bolo na tum quiet kyun ho? Any problem?

Anandi: Ashima unhone mere kapde pack kiye toh tum ek baar check toh kar leti na.

Ashima: Kya hue Shiv ne koi gadbad ki. You don't like what he packed? Maine dekhe he had removed nice salwaar suits and usne jeans bhi pack kiye the and maine unko dekhe and accessories etc nikaale. Then Saachi and I left taaki wo packing kar sake.

Anandi: Ashima unhone mere kapde pack kiye par mere inners pack nahi kiye. Tumhe dekhna chahiye tha na.

Ashima: So what? Anandi uske first time the. Buy new ones na.

Anandi: Utna toh mujhe bhi samajh mein aata hai ki kal main naye le loongi par abhi dinner ke liye jaana hai, phir raat ko aur kal subah main kya karoongi?

Ashima: Hey do one thing. Main na school trip pe yehi karti thi. See dinner ke liye bahir kyun jaana? Have it in the room. A nice quiet romantic dinner for 2. At night wash the ones you are wearing and aise hi so jaao kal morning mein yehi wale washed pehen lo and then go buy new ones.

Anandi: Arre haan maine toh ye socha hi nahi. Thank you.

Ashima: Anandi tumhaare paas Shiv ke baare mein sochne ke other koi kaam nahi. How would you think about this? Hey when you come back ye in the middle middle phone karke give details haan.

Anandi disconnected the call and by the time Shiv came back with the hotel brochure she had arranged a private romantic dinner for the two of them. Shiv was more than happy for some alone time with Anandi and no one else around them. Shiv loved the arrangements. They were simple yet elegant just like Anandi. After the dinner Anandi and Shiv also enjoyed a slow dance. Shiv was very happy but Anandi was feeling bad as she had not done all of it only to spend romantic time with Shiv. She rested on his chest.

Anandi had rented a romantic movie from the hotel entertainment store. The room service has cleared the dinner table from their room. Shiv changed into his night suit and Anandi was in the washroom. She had changed into her black satin one piece night gown. She was not wearing her innerwear. She stood in front of the mirror and saw that her firm peaks were very prominent. She tried massaging them to get rid of the pointy perks but it was of no use. The thought of being ion one bed with Shiv made them perky again. She was taking time so Shiv understood that there was some issue. He dimmed the lighting of the room and called Anandi on the intercom. He told her that the lights were dimmed and she could come out. Anandi came out quickly and got under the blanket. Anandi and Shiv were watching the movie and while watching the movie Anandi shifted on Shiv's body and went to sleep. Shiv let her sleep like that. The next motning when Shiv woke up he turned to Anandi's side. His wife was missing but he found a red rose instead. A smile came to his lips. He got up and saw the most beautiful sight. He could see Anandi's silhouette as the sunlight entered their room through the glass window.

Shiv: Subah ho toh aisi ho.

Anandi: Good morning. Aap jaldi se tayyar ho jaaiye. Hum breakfast buffet ke liye chalte hain aur phir maine aaj ke liye iss Mumbai tour guide se sab plan kar liya hai ki aaj hum kahaan kahaan jaayenge.

Shiv: Accha kahaan jaayenge?

Anandi: Ye dekhiye. Hum Juhu area mein hain na toh yahan bahut bada Radha Krishna ka mandir hai. Iskon Temple. Phir hum Siddhivinayak Mandir jaayenge. Uske baad Mahalaxmi Mandir aur Babulnaath mandir bhi. Ye charo na ek route mein aate hain. Mera matlab hai bhagwanji ke darshan se humari tour shuru kare toh accha hai na? Aur papa ke exhibition ki success ke liye bhi blessings le lenge. {Thinks: Mujhe bhi I Love you bolne ke liye Bhagwaanji se strength maangni hai.} Toh kaisa laga mera plan?

Shiv: (Mumbles)Badi zor se laga. Honeymoon par aaya hoon patni ke saath ko ya jaatra ke liye.

Anandi: Kya?

Shiv: Hm Haan wo main pooch raha tha ki bas ye chaar hi mandir hain Mumbai mein?

Anandi: Nahi aur bahut hain par kya hai na inki maanyata bahut hai. AApko pata hai ismein likha hai ki jab foreingers aate hain toh wo bhi in madiroin ki mahima ke liye yahaan darshan ke liye jaate hain. Ye lo bahar se aakar log aashirvaad lekar jaaye toh hum kyun nahi? Aaj ka din hum ye sab dekhenge. Kal hum baaki Mumbai darshan karenge aur 30^th ko..

Shiv: 30^th ko toh Wo Expo hai jiske liye main yahaan aaya hoon. 31^st ko doston ke saath new years party hai.

Anandi became sad that Shiv did not remember their one month anniversary. Shiv got ready. After breakfast as planned Anandi and Shiv went to the Iskon Temple and offered their prayers. They followed the route and then went to The Siddhivinayak Tepmle, The Mahalxmi temple. They finally reached the Babulnaath Temple at the time of the sandhya aarti. They bought sovieneers for the older members of their families. Anandi also liked a Shiv Parvathi Ganesha moorti which they bought for their home. They had lunch at prime thali restaurant Rajdhani and they had dinner at the Girguam Chowpatty food stalls. Anandi asked for extra spicy chaat and when she ate it her mouth was on fire. She was looking for something to drink when Shiv kept a Mumbai special Malai khulfi near her mouth. Anandi ate one teekha chaat puri followed by a bite of the kulfi. When they came out of the chaat centre they walked a bit and saw view of the Queens Necklace. The night view of Marine Drive truly looked like a diamond studded necklace and so the name Queens Necklace was jusitifed. Anandi saw a decorated Tonga one like which she had never seen. She wanted to take a Tonga ride around the Marine Drive area but as they had taken the Tonga ride in Udaipur Shiv had some other idea. He took her to the H2O water sport adventure centre which they were standing right outside of. They took a night Jet Ski ride. Anandi was thrilled with the experience. The driver went to get the car. Shiv asked Anandi to wait there and went to answer nature's call. He had become such a liar. Beautifully floral and angle lights decorated Tonga stopped in front of Anandi. She did not look at it and was waiting for Shiv. Then she heard the tongawala whistle. She was frustrated and looked up to blast him when she saw Shiv instead of the driver. She got on and Shiv and Anandi took a long Tonga ride. They were reminded of their first meeting. After the ride they got in their hired car and returned to their hotel. It was almost 1:00 am when they reached the hotel. Anandi and Shiv had their bath and got into bed. They went to sleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow. The next day Shiv had planned many surprises for Anandi. Shiv was planning to take her to the zoo and National park and the Aquarium in Mumbai. Anandi's eyes opened wide on hearing Shiv's plans. She showed extra excitement.

Anandi: Hum zoo, national park aur machli ghar jaa rahe hain? Wow kitna maza aayega na? Main ek kaam karti hoon main na do chotiyaan bana leti hoon aur humaare school uniforms bhi toh aa gaye honge na? Aap bhi na zoo, national park, machli ghar? Aap apni patni ke saath aaye hain koi school trip par nahi.

Shiv: Haan of course mujhe pata hai ki main apni patni ke saath aaya hoon. Wo kal humne char dham yatra ki toh mujhe laga aapko ye bhi accha lagega. Par aap toh...

Anandi: Ok ab bacchon ke jaise moonh mat banaiye. Mujhe zoo aur national park nahi jaana. Udaipur mein bhi yahi jaanvar dekhne milenge. Hum machli ghar chalte hain. Maine kabhi machli nahi dekhi.

Shiv: Hum National park bhi chale? Wo kya hai na yahaan safari bus hai we can see lions in the wild. Aur aapko pata hai national park mein wo choti chuk chuk gaadi bhi hai.

Anandi: Chuk chuk gaadi? Mujhe nahi dekhni. Lion? Gusse mein hote hain tab khud ko aayne mein dekh lijiye ga lion dekhne ki zaroorat nahi padegi. Maine kaha na hum sirf aquarium jaayenge.

Anandi and Shiv go to the Taraporevala Aquarium. Anandi was surprised to see a very different Marine drive in day time. They had a blast at the aquarium. Shiv was taking Anandi's photographs. He captured some really cute ones where she was making fish faces at the fishes. In one she was stunned at the stonefish suddenly moved and came towards her. Anandi too took pictures of Shiv with some kids who were on vacation. Anandi and Shiv were walking on the footpath on the coastal side. Anandi saw that Shiv was feeling hot so she opened her umbrella. Shiv was embarrassed to get under it as it was not raining. Anandi explained to him the the umbrella is also used to protect one from scorching sunheat. They had to cut short their afternoon walk as there were couples being obsene. Anandi and Shiv both wondered how could they be doing all of it in the open and under the afternoon sun. The cops cames and shooed away everyone after taking their information. It was lunch time and Shiv took her to Revival for Lunch and Gelato. Gelato was a different experience for Anandi and Shiv from his own London experiences knew that Anandi would love it. She was confused and could not choose from the wide ranged and colored Gelato. Shiv helped her in choosing the best flavors.

Shiv took Anandi to see the Gateway of India. They had seen the Churchgate station. At one signal Anandi saw a bus and some children in it. Anandi was curious about it and she expressed a desire to see it first. That was a one way street so the driver said that they could see it on the return journey. Anandi heard the trains as they were near the Railway station. Anandi and Shiv saw the Gateway of India. Shiv wanted to go to the Elephanta caves and enjoy the boat ride and also show Anandi the fighter ships which could be seen from the waters of Gateway of India but Anandi was much interested in that bus. When they came to the bus they were surprised to see that a woman was teaching the street children in the bus. It was a mobile school. Anandi and Shiv liked the idea very much. They got information about starting mobile schools. It was a brilliant idea for the street children in Rajasthan to be educated. Anandi wanted to go to the hotel by train. Anandi and Shiv kept all the shopping bags in the car and asked the driver about the railway station they needed to get off to go to the hotel. They got the information and asked the driver to meet them there. The train experience was also fun for Anandi and Shiv.

In the evening Anandi was alone in the room while Shiv had gone to make some arrangements. The next day was their one month anniversary. Anandi was not sure that Shiv would remember it. She was happy with what she had. She had never seen this Mumbai. Shiv came back to the rom and asked her if she would like to experience something new. Anandi was all up for it as she knew if she would not be comfortable or felt out of place Shiv would be by her side. Anandi asked if she had to wear something other than her sawar suits. Shiv said that there was no dress code but since they were going to experience something else she could dress differently if she felt like. Anandi decided to surpise Shiv. Shiv got ready for the night. She asked Shiv to wait for her in the hotel lobby. Shiv too had to make a few calls so he left. While Shiv was speaking on the phone someone bumped into him. That person said some unpleasant words but then was shocked to see Shiv.

Shiv: Jagat? Tum yahaan kya kar rahe ho?

Jagat: Kyun tumhe koi problem hai?

Gauri: Mr. Shiv Raj Shekhar aap yahaan? What a pleasant surprise? Anandi bhi aayi hai? Oh main bhi ktini silly hoon nayi nayi shaadi hai honeymoon ke liye aaye honge.

Shiv did not understand nor could he digest Gauri's sweetness. He just smiled at her. Jagat was fuming on hearing Gauri's words. Shiv and Anandi had come to Mumbai on their honeymoon. He looked down and smiled devishly as he thought Anandi must have remembered their honeymoon moments and it would have spoilt her and Shiv's honeymoon. Gauri was feeling very happy for making Jagat feel pain which she was sure he was in after hearing about Anandi being on honeymoon with Shiv. Shiv understood that Jagat and Gauri had returned to Mumbai. He did not want to spoil Anandi's mood by having to see them there. He noticed a sheer look of shock and sort of disgust on their faces. He realized that they must be looking at Anandi. He turned around and was tottally mesmerized by Anandi. She was dressed elegantly in a black skinny jeans and a sleeved boat neck white wrap flounce top. Anandi had accessorized her look with a gold plated diamong cz open rose petal bangle wrist watch and delicately draped gold chain collarette with 7 seed pearls and gold and seed pearl closure. Tiny pearls were dangling from al the gold chains. Shiv had got this antique jewellery for her form the Palace jewelry store. She was not wearing earrings. Anandi wore floral clad heeled peep toes with ankle strap. She had taken a matching clutch. She had tied her hair in a messy side bun. He make up was perfect for the night time. She was confident with herself in the new look. Shiv looking at her admiringly made her feel shy and she blushed profusely. Jagat could not take his eyes off of her. She had never dressed like this for him. He felt jealous of Shiv because neither Anandi not Gauri did anything like this for him. Anandi who had not noticed Jagat and Gauri as she was too busy admiring her husband admiring her. She was shocked to see Jagat and Gauri but kept her cool after knowing that they were settled back in Mumbai. After a short hi and bye with them Anandi and Shiv left. Gauri did not like the way Jagat was ogling at Anandi. She was calling Anandi names and also liar to be dressed like this in Mumbai and ghagra choli n sari and head covered in Jaitsar and Udaipur. Gauri created a fuss and she and Jagat had a very public fight in front of their peers.

Shiv took Anandi to IceQube - Bar and Lounge. When Anandi read it Shiv assured her that it was not compulsory for them to drink, juices were also available. Anandi had never seen anything like it. The restaurant was made completely of crystal clear ice. The temperature it maintained was of minus six degrees. She now understood why they were promptly given jackets and gloves as soon as they entered. Shiv helped her put on the jacket and gloves so that the male helper would not have to trouble himself. The igloo-like interiors brought Anandi and Shiv into an enchanting world of sheer magic. This subzero space was made fully of ice and bathed in a rainbow of psychedelic lights which took customers on a fun-filled, out-of-the-world ride. Shiv had his experience in the Ice bar first in London. He wanted Anandi to experience it all. Anandi and Shiv went to the private area. They had vegetarian tandoori food and juices. Anandi snuggled with Shiv as the jacket and gloves were not enough. She was shivering.

Anandi: Aapko yahaan aane ki kaise soojhi?

Shiv: Wo maine hotel ke help desk par kaha ki koi ekdum different experience karna hai humein. Unhe pata tha ki Rajasthaan ki garmi se roz joojte hain toh humein is barfeele jannat mein bhej diya. Actually main London mein apne ek dost ke saath gaya tha. Wanna dance?

Anandi and Shiv enjoyed close dance to an instrumental in the private area. Anandi wanted to experience dancing in a discotheque kind of an environtment. Shiv took her to the common dance floor. On the dance floor people were going crazy. Anandi and Shiv tried to dance there but men kept bumping into Anandi. She felt that Shiv had to do the job of her bodyguard instead of enjoying himself. They returned to the private area. They stayed there till around 1:00 am. Anandi and Shiv were driving back to the hotel suddenly the car began giving them trouble. The car stopped in the middle of the road. Shiv called for car assistance but was told that it was not possible as that part had some trouble and the police had closed the roads. A police vehicle was passing by and saw Anandi and Shiv. Shiv knew that they could be misunderstood so he showed his ID card.

Shiv: Officer humein Ramada Plaza jaana hai. Could you help us?

Officer: Sorry Mr. Shekhar wo rasta toh abhi bandh hai. Hum aapko chod dete but humein rounds ke liye jaana hai.

Anandi: Ab hum kya karenge?

Officer: Don't worry madam hum kuch lift ka intezaam kar dete hain. Par aap dono hotel nahi jaa paayenge. Wo rasta kuch waqt tak band hai. Subah 3 -4 baje tak wahaan rasta bandh rakhna hai. Foreign delegate aane wale hain.

Shiv: Toh hum rahenge kahaan?

Anandi: Suniye wo car aa rahi hai.

The officer stopped the car. It had a doctor's sign on it. The officer checked the credentials and noted them.

The driver: Officer baat kya hai? Kyun roka hai humein?

Officer: Doctor sahib aap kya inn dono ko lift de sakte hain? Inki gaadi kahrab ho gay hai aur inhe Ramada jaana hai par wahan rasta bandh hai.

The passenger: Arre aise kaise hum kisi bhi aire gaire ko lift de de?

Officer: Madam aap fikar mat kijiye. Maine unke ID card dekhen hain. IAS afsar hain Rajasthan se. Sir dekhiyena humaare Maharashtra mein aaye hain agar madad nahi mili toh wapas jaakar apne Maharshtra ki badnaami hogi. Lift de do.

Before the dirver could say anything Shiv and Anandi came near the car. Shiv thought of requesting the driver to give them a lift. He bent down to look in the car and he changed his mind. He took the officer to the side and asked it there was any hotel near by where they could stay.

Anandi: Ye aap kya keh rahe hain? Agar lift mil jaaye toh chaliye na.

Shiv: Anandi please main jaanta hoon main kya kar raha hoon. Wo car...

Jagat: Arre Anandi Shiv aap dono?

The officer was happy that the dirver of the car knew Anandi and Shiv. Anandi now understood Shiv's refusal to take the lift. They both shut their eyes and cursed their luck. Gauri did not like Jagat offering them a lift. Jagat was more than hapopy to give them a lift.

Officer: Chala sahib hum toh soch rahe the ki lift mil gayi par raat kuthe rahenge aap dono pan aap toh inn logon ka pehchaan ka hai. Doctor sahib aapke ghar par raat ko ruka do main kal phone karke batata hotel jaane ke liye.

The officer did not listen to Anandi, Shiv and Gauri. Anandi and Shiv had no choice but the take lift from Jagat and Gauri. If that was not enough, they would have to spend the night at their home. Shiv and Anandi were sitting in the back seat. Jagat was spying on them through the rear view mirror.

Jagat: Thinking: Accha hua jo ye dono humein mil gaye. Zyaada nahi par ek raat toh barbaad kar hi doonga main inn dono ki.

Gauri: Thinking: Jagat main jaanti hoon tumhare iraado ko ab dekho main kya karti hoon.

The four of them reach Jagat and Gauri's home. Gauri welcomed them into their home. She was being extra sweet to Anandi and Shiv. Jagat did not like it. Shiv was sitting on the 2 seater sofa and Jagat went to sit there so that Shiv and Anandi could not sit together. Gauri made him get up and sit on the single sofa. Anandi sat next to Shiv. She removed her peep toes. Shiv saw that her feet were all red.

Shiv: Dard ho raha hai pairon mein? Main foot massage doon?

Anandi: Sayyam mein pati parmeshawar. Sayyam mein.

Jagat was fuming and buring on the insdie seeing Anandi and Shiv like that with eachother. Gauri was happy as she knew that Jagat was in pain. She wanted to make him ache more.

Gauri: Shiv Anandi aap dono thak gaye honge. Ek kaam kijiye aap dono andar room mein so jaaiye.

Anandi, Shiv and Jagat were all surprised at her offer.

Jagat: Gauri in dono ko bedroom mein kyun bhej rahi ho? I mean mera matlab hai ki ek hi bedroom hai aur tumhe rest karne ke liye bed chahiye na iss liye..

Anandi: Nahi Gauri hum theek hain. Jagat theek keh rahen hain. Tum dono apne bedroom mein rest karo hum yahan manage kar lenge.

Shiv: Haan totally. Arre aise hi nahi experience se bol rahe hain.

Gauri: Nahi wo mujhe kal ek surgery ke liye prepare karna hai toh main yahaan padh sakti hoon. Jagat ko bhi kaam hai. Mere rest karne ke liye ye sofa cum bed hai na. Mujhe subah jaldi hospital jaana hai abhi apne bed par soyi toh subah uth nahi paaoongi. Aap dono sankoch mat kijiye.

Anandi and Shiv looked at each other. They thought it was better to go to the room rather than staying with Gauri and Jagat. Anandi was feeling awkward in his presence because he was ogling at her with his shifty eyes. Anandi and Shiv move towards the bedroom and as per his habbit Shiv placed his hand on her waist. Jagat was staring angrily in their direction. Once Shiv was in the room he quickly removed his shoes and scoks and belt.

Anandi: Aap bhi na kitni jaldi hai. Rukiye mujhe door toh band karne dijiye.

Jagat heard this and misunderstood. Anandi was looking in Shiv's direction and she slowly shut the door moving it millimeter by millimeter. Jagat was in living hell and was disgusted by Anandi's besharmi to be in one room with her current husband in the house of her ex husband. He was restless. Gauri was happy on seeing his condition. Gauri was focused on her preparations but Jagat just could not. He was thinking of Anandi and Shiv in his bedroom on his bed doing God knows what. He got up but Gauri caught him.

Gauri: Kahaan jaa rahe ho?

Jagat: Tumhaare liye room se blanket lane.

Gauri: Wo saamne dekho istri ke kapdon mein ek hai.

In the bedroom Anandi was sleeping resting on Shiv. Shiv was not able to sleep and he was moving making the wooden bed make noises. The noises were being heard by Gauri and Jagat. He was enraged while she was smiling evilly. In the bedroom Anandi wokeup as Shiv was moving too much.

Anandi: Kya kar rahe hain aap? Itna kyun hil rahe hain?

Shiv: Mujhe neend nahi aa rahi. Bahut uncomfortable feel ho rah hai. Let's go out. Please.

Anandi and Shiv came out of the room after an hour and looked like a mess. They just adjusted them selves and their clothes. Jagat was drinking and watching television on his volume to stop the sounds coming from the bedroom. Anandi and Shiv joined them. Jagat was watching Roja'. The song

On hearing this song Anandi and Shiv were feeling shy because they too were making the khat khat noise of the khatiya but in a different way. Jagat was so angry that he threw the remote and broke it. Anandi looked at Shiv and signed that she wanted to go to the hotel or anywhere but not stay here. Shiv called the officer with whom they had met with earlier. The officer told him that the roads were now open. Shiv called the hotel and asked for a car.

Shiv: Anandi hum hotel jaa sakte hain. Maine car mangwa li hai.

Anandi: Sach??

Anandi was bery happy and she almost sprang from the seat into Shiv's arms.

Shiv: Sayyam mein patniji. Sayaam mein.

Anandi and Shiv left after thanking Gauri and Jagat for their hospitality. When the door shut behind them they heard the quarelling of Gauri and Jagat. Anandi and Shiv came to the hotel at around 3: 15 am. They went to sleep after changing into their nightwear. The next morning when Anandi woke up she saw that Shiv was not there. Before she could panick she found Shiv's note. She was still sleepy. When she sat up on the bed something hit her head.

Anandi: Ouch ye kya hai? Badal?

She felt cotton like softness under her feet. She looked around and saw that cloud cutouts were hanging from the ceiling. There was sky blue and white cotton spread all over the room. She was pleasantly surprised. Shiv came from behind and stood behind her. He put a thin platinum chain with a platinum flying bird pendant around her neck.

Anandi: Ye sab kya hai?

Shiv: Happy one month anniversary.

Anandi: Ye badal kyun?

Shiv: Log rose petals bichate hain apni patni ke liye maine badal bichaye hain. Anandi aaj khushi ke bhi aansoon nahi please. Anandi main chahta hoon ki aap badalon ko chuye. Aap apni har manzil ko pa len. Main aapko aasmaan mein udte hue uss panchi ki tarah free feel karte hue udte hue dekhna chahta hoon. Aap ki yahi tamanna thi na? Main aapki har wish poori karna chahta hoon. I love you.

Anandi: Thank you.

Anandi smacked herself for saying Thank you in return for Shiv's I love you. She left to freshen up. She did not have an anniversary gift for Shiv. She wanted to do something special for him after the Thank you. She got ready and came out to see Shiv reading the news paper.

Anandi: Humein toh expo ke liye jaana hai na?

Shiv: Kaunsa expo?

Anandi got confused but then got it that Shiv had lied there was no expo and she assumed that they was nor friends reunion new years celebration. She looked at him with her hands on her waist and he smiled and went back behind the newspapaer. It was their anniversary and Shiv wanted it to be just the two of them the whole day. He had arranged a day out on the sea with Anandi. Shiv had booked the hotel yacht for the day. Shiv got her to the hotels private pier.

Anandi: Accha issi liye aap mujhse wo saare sea sickness ke sawal pooch rahe the? Waise kal barf aaj subah badal aur ab pani. Thank you aapko pata hain maine ye sab experiences kabhi nahi kiye. Mujhe bahut bahut maza aa raha hai khaaskar issliye kyunki aap mere saath hain.

Anandi and Shiv spent the entire day on the yacht. They spent the afternoon inside the cabin. They had Italian for lunch cooked by a private chef on the deck. They spent time talking. They could not have enough of talking to each other. It was a perfect quiet day. Shiv wanted to stay the night but Anandi wanted to return. When they returned to the hotel in the evening while Shiv rested in the room Anandi disappeared for some personal girl work. This was the only time Shiv would not ask her for details. She came back after an hour. In these days that they were in Mumbai Anandi tried telling him I love you in different ways but Shiv wanted to hear it. It was 9:00 pm at night. Anandi wanted to go out for dinner. Anandi removed a black shirt and white pants for Shiv. She was dressed in the saree which Shiv had girft wrapped and kept in her bag. It was a beautiful cobalt blue georgette sari with champagne gold sequins frill. It came with a sleveless black velvet hand embroidered blouse covered with black net and a blue border which was extended to tie into a knot at the back. Anandi accessorized her look with sparkling black crystal large teardrop shaped earrings and a matching braclet. Anandi was ready and Shiv was admiring her. She had tied her long hair in a side fishtail plait. Anandi asked Shiv to sit and when he did she blindfolded him.

Shiv: Anandi ye kya kar rahi hain aap? Meri aankhon par patti kyun baandhi hai?

Anandi: Shh. Koi sawal nahi chup chap chaliye.

Shiv was felt his feet sinking in soft sand. After walking for a while Anandi opened his blindfold. Shiv saw that a heart of glowing candles was made in the sand and in the middle of the heart was a dining arrangement for two. The food was set up and when Shiv took the first morcel it was happy anniversary for him. He had not eaten any thing like this since he had come to Mumbai. Food made by his wife. Anandi and Shiv enjoyed their dinner date. Shiv then played a song on this phone and asked Anandi for a dance.

Anandi: I..Main..Main.. aap se...

Shiv: Shh Anandi kuch nahi. Aapko kuch bhi kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Humara rishta humaara pyar unn teen lafzon ka mohtaaj nahi hai. Kai dino se aapne bina kuch kahe mujhe kai baar wo teen lafz kahe hain. Aapki aankhon mein, aapki muskurahat mein, aapki baaton mein, aapki har ek ada mein maine padha hai aap mujhse pyar karti hain. Par Anandi kya aap apne pyar ka izhaar apne shabon mein nahi karna chahti? Aap apne pyar se nahi kehna chahengi ki aap unse pyar karti hain?

That night too Anandi and Shiv saw a romantic movie in bed. Anandi fell asleep and Shiv was caressing her hair.

Shiv: I know Anandi ki bas ab mera intezaar khatam hone hi wala hai. Ab aapne mann bana hi liya hai toh aap mujhse apne pyar ka izhaar karke hi rahengi. Mere intezaar ke saath aapka intezaar bhi khatam ho jaayega.

It was 31^st morning. With the morning newspaper an invitation for the New Year's party at the hotel was also delivered. Anandi and Shiv decided to attend the party. There was no dress code for the party. They did not have clothes for an extra event so Shiv took Anandi shopping. They spent the entire day at a shopping mall. They even saw a movie at the cinema screen at the mall. In the evening Shiv wore a steel grey 2piece suit with a black tie and a white shirt. Anandi was wearing a black and grey saree with a silver border. The saree came with a wide necked black net blouse with net sleeves. She had accessorized her look perfectly. She was looking absolutely stunning. The amount of people looking at her made Shiv feel uneasy. He was jealous but he also removed a kajal from her purse and put a small teeka behind her ear. Anandi loved his gesture. After many entertaining events and games a singing competition at the party. Anandi was again up to her smartness.

Anandi: Ye gana gaayen?

Shiv: Main itna bhi bada bhondu nahi hoon. Ye song chuna hai aapne? "Kasam ki kasam.." So gaane ka gaana an aapka izhaar e mohabbat. 2 in 1. Bilkul nahi.

Anandi went to the stage to sing a song which would tell Shiv about her love vala feelings for him. She had planned something else too. It was her New Year's resolution to say I Love You' to Shiv. She looked at Shiv with love in her eyes and heart.

Anandi:

Anandi did not want to sing the last two sad verses which disqualified her from the competition. Shiv came and hugged Anandi. There was no place for any sadness in their life. Anandi and Shiv came to the Hotel's private beach area to spend some private time. There was going to be a fireworks show to mark the commencement of the New Year at midnight. It was midnight.

Shiv: Happy New Year.

Anandi: I Love You.

As soon as Anandi said it the fireworks began. Shiv was smiling and was shocked that finally Anandi said those words and the New Year came. Anandi's heart was racing. She was smiling at Shiv and was also feeling shy. She thought Shiv did not hear what she said because he was standing still.

Anandi: Aapne suna na maine kya kaha?

Shiv: Hm..Haan suna.

Anandi: Toh phir?

Shiv: Phir kya?

Anandi: Maine apne pyar ka izhaar kiya aap mujhe gale nahi lagayenge?

Shiv: Anandi koi shart nahi hai par aaj main thoda selfish hona chahta hoon. Aaj tak maine apne pyar ki taraf kadam badhaye hain kya aaj mera pyar mujh tak chalkar aa sakta hai. Bas ek kadam.

Anandi came forward and hugged Shiv. He too hugged her. They stood there on the beach with the sea waves crashing at their feet and the fireworks coloring the dark sky.

Anandi: Pata nahi ab tak kyun nahi keh paayi? Kya kahoon? Kaise kahoon? Kab kahoon? Bas inhi sab mein ulajh kar reh gayi. Ye socha hi nahi ki koi bada surprise plan karna ya kisi special way mein kehna zaroori nahi hai. Hum dono ho, humaara pyar ho toh jab bhi main aapko ye teen shabd kehti wo pal wo ghadi wp manzar sab special ban jaata. I Love You.

Shiv: I love you too Anandi.

Anandi thought of something and she began to run on the beach. Shiv followed her. Anandi got into the water and a huge wave made her fall in the water. Shiv came to help her out but she pulled him in. They began to play in the water. Anandi and Shiv were completely drenched. They lay there on the sand. Anandi looked at Shiv. She turned over to him and rested her chin on his chest. Shiv put his arms around her waist.

Anandi: Happy New Year.

Shiv: I love you.

Anandi: I love you.

Shiv: Happy New Year.

Anandi knew that Shiv was pulling her leg. She beat him with her tiny fists. Shiv rolled over and she was pinned under him. Anandi was waiting for Shiv to kiss her but her wait did not end. Anandi and Shiv came to the room. After his bath Shiv was waiting for Anandi to finsh her bath. He had to speak with her. He knew Anandi would now want to take it to the next level as she had said I Love You. He turned on the TV. Anandi was in the washroom. She was looking at herself. She was beautiful and her beauty would increase once Shiv made love to her. She did not have anything special for the night so she wore her white satin nightgown which she ahd never worn. White was perfect because it can be dyed in any color. She too was ready to be dyed in the color of Shiv and his love. When she came out she saw Shiv watching the news. She came and sat on the bed. Shiv did not look at her. Anandi did not understand. Shiv had no idea what he would say and how. Anandi cleared her throat to get Shiv's attention.

Shiv: Anandi main ye important news dekh raha hoon. Aap so jaaiye bahut raat ho gayi hai. Kal subah packing karni hai. Humari 12:30 pm ki flight hai Jaipur ke liye. Main news dekhkar sone aata hoon.

Anandi did not understand why Shiv was not coming close to her. She had said that she loved him. The next step was to kiss and make love. She waited for Shiv to finish watching the news but he far from done. She fell asleep waiting for Shiv to come close to her. After Shiv saw that Anandi was fast asleep he went to sleep hugging her. He was staying away from Anandi for a very simple reason which would not be so simple for Anandi. It would take some serious explaining. In the morning Anandi and Shiv were ready. Anandi was coming close to Shiv but he was avoiding her every move. Shiv had asked the bell boy to take their luggage to the car. It was 1^st January 2013. The New Year began and an unexpected guest would come into Anandi and Shiv's lives.
