Please don't think that this is only about TR.

Changes have occurred in Gehna, Sugna, Shyam also. But I will use Anandi as an example since she's the only one who still have relevant tracks in the show.

Q. Are CVs forgetting the graph made by young Anandi?
No actress can act exactly like another or absorb the mannerisms of another. But the trials faced by the previous character can be used and applied to current tracks.
For eg- When Jagya accused Anandi of trying to pressure him into having a child, she cried. But only because he walked off. When he came back, she gave him a piece of her mind, firmly. No snivelling. This was something that even small Anandi used to do. So why the change today in CV's writing?

Q. Why does Anandi not stand up against false claims with her earlier firmness?
Anandi was always respectful. But when someone tried to usurp her rights, she would make it clear that she wasn't wrong and be firm, yet polite. Now she is the height of diplomacy, crying and trying to gain sympathy.
Eg. Remember how she took on Dadisa when she stopped Gulli's wedding? When she decided to study further? When she came to know about her fix-up with Shiv?
Now she never shows any such honesty. It can't be because of the mayka-sasural gap as she always spoke her mind as Jagya's wife.

I don't want to question Ms Rasputra as she is probably doing what the CVs are asking her to do. I want to ask the CVs why they are changing characters along with actors? Why not direct the actors properly?

I don't know what to say about change in actress...CVs have changed so much of their characters that it hard to say that change in situation is more because of actress or their own wish...but i don't think Anandi has not changed much...it's just that this time situation is lot more tougher than last time plus also the equation of each character with the main characters...Shekhars-Anandi share a real sasural-bahu relation whereas Singhs-Anandi shared more of parivar-beti relation...Singhs knowing Anandi from childhood and being more sensible find it easier to take Anandi's words seriously and consider them whereas Shekhars behave like typical sasural who will not let their bahu speak and consider her words at right time but later on when things get messy they bounce on her.

Sometimes i feel Anandi's lack of firmness with Shekhars which was not much there with Singhs is more because of newness in their relation

You gave an example of Jagya...Anandi was more firm with Jagya maybe because Jagya was a childhood friend and for Anandi he was first her friend and then her husband whereas she first met shiv as an senior colleague and then he became her husband...she may trust him and love him the most but still he is her husband whom she sees like a typical devoted wife so maybe she still lacks that firmness with him...just my theory...seems silly but can't think of much else 😕

I do not think change in actor impacts character. TV actors are not so important (like some famous bollywood actors) that the story should change because of them. Anandi did not took on DS to study further - she burnt her books on the command of DS and did not dare to study further even when she was with her parents for five years. She seldom spoke her mind as Jagya's wife. Her beti phase (where she spoke her mind) in badi haveli started much later with Gauri phase in serial.

Even Gahna's character did not change because of the actress. Gahna's struggle ended when attitude of DS and Basant changed. Similar is the case of Shyam and Sugna. Apart from the fact that Vibha was younger than Shashank (and she was required to play elder sister), perhaps she also did not want to continue because not much story was left for Sugna. In case of Shyam and Sugna I feel it is the other way round - the actors quit because the character did not seem to offer much.

We see that Lal Singh changed more than once but his character remains the same. On the other hand the actors remained same but character of DS, Basant and now Sumitra changed drastically. If Smita was changed at this juncture, we could have assumed that the this change is due to change in actress.

Change in actor affects TRP...Change in TRP leads to change in storyline and characters to bring in the TRPs.

There has been replacements in other shows as well but the diff is the replacement is good enough to sustain the change.

See Sathiya and Mahadev the replacements were actully better than the originals.

But colors is very bad in replacement dept..they screwed up BV and Sanskar as well.

Anandi has been like this from the time she was a child she took on a lot of nonsense before she spoke up.

Like it was mentioned DS made little A burn her books and she did that and never told that to anyone.

When J was irritated with her for discontinuing her studies also she did not tell him.If she had told him what DS made her do things would have been different for her.

When she went to Mumbai to give a surpise birthday party J was so ashamed of her and did not even acknowledge that she is his wife.She took all that and never once did she open her mouth and tell the family about what happened in Mumbai.If she had told Bhairon and Sumi things would not have reached the extent where they reached.There would not have been a Gauri in her life.

Even now she hid all these things about Sanchi from her family thinking that she could handle it but ultimately all this got out of control.This is not the first time where Anandi sat till things went out of control.All the three actresses played this same Anandi.

DS never allowed her to have any say in the matters but to Bhairon and Sumi she could tell what she thought about things that are happening.

Only after Gauri fiasco did DS give her the freedom to say what she felt that too because DS realised how wrong she was and how right Anandi was.

It took her years to get that kind f freedom in BH.

Obviously it will take her sometime before she gains the trust and respect of the Shekhar household before they let er have any say in the matters.

It has got nothing to do with the actress but every thing to do with character who has always been slow in action despite thinking a lot.

She always was and is cautious of every step she takes and it has been obvious from her childhood days.

An good actor is good actor whether he or she is from bollywood hollywood or TV. And I respect and lyk TV actors more. Many bolly actors even dont know A B C of acting. If an actor made me 100% convinced in his or her roll I will never accept other actor in his or her place. When Sriti quited SB many viewers quited too and that show ended after 1 month.
