When shiv overheard bhairon, ds, and anandi all talking about jagya, anandi covered up with a lie and said "shiv, I wanted to tell you, but calling you out from the whole family gathering would have looked odd"... but she never had any intention of telling him at all.

Why would it have looked odd for anandi to call shiv her own husband out?

Yet, she never felt it would look odd for her to run up the stairs behind Jagya -- so running behind ex-husband for no good reason when he is going to change his clothes looks perfectly okay, but asking husband to step out of family gathering is not okay.
