Use of Body doubles: Is it really Actors' fault ?

The issue of use of Body Doubles has been raised in the forum many times. Most of the times when actors Body double is visible in an episode he/she is accused of being throwing tantrums or partying and not attending the shoot, or being sick and more.IS it really fair to accuse the actor/actress without knowing the other side of coin????

In BV the use of body doubles (of Pratyusha) was clearly evident in the episodes and specially after Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and rumors of Pratz leaving the show for movie.One thing I want to make clear is if a body double is clearly visible in a show then it is completely the technical failure of cameraman, editor and director or the PH wants the body double of a particular actor to be visible to the audience for its own purposes. It is never the fault of the actor but still the actor is accused for not giving enough time for shoots, for throwing tantrums etc.

There is one person specially appointed by PH whose only work is to schedule the dates and timings of all the actors in such a manner so that most of the cast is present for the shoot, he / she has to inform the actors of the timing and date of shoots (so if PH wants to show to media and audience that a particular actor is missing from shoots it is very easy for them to arrange) .

Sometimes to manage the cost of production the PH themselves use their highest paid actors for close up shots and BD for long shots.( Actors are paid on daily basis and Pratz, Tina dutta and Rashmi desai are /were one of the highest paid actors of Colors )

Coming to the failure of Director, editor and cameraman. Today technology is so advanced that just by using Chroma screen properly and setting of camera angles even if you shoot all the actors separately and later combine their shots the audience will not be able to identify whether the actors shot together or not. Use of Chroma screen is not much expensive and also does not take much time during shooting or later during editing. It just takes 5-15 min for a professional to extract chroma background and mix it with original clippings (those who make siggies would know, removing chroma screen is much easier that removing the background in photoshop and takes much less time). And Chroma screen is widely used in industry,all it requires is proper direction, editing and camera angles.Here are some links on the use of Chroma shoots

So, according to My POV the visibility of BD is never the fault, laziness or tantrum of an actor but a complete failure of technical team or a shrewd intention of a PH. Is not it easy for PH to make BD visible to audience, then throw a rumor in media and then suddenly replace actor by saying that he/she cannot give enough time for shoots or is throwing tantrums?? And viewers put all the points together and start blaming the actor for abandoning the show which has made the actor a star, or blame the actor for back stabbing the PH etc. But we never question the technical expertise of production team or money saving tactics of PH .

How fair is that???? Should not we think about other points also before putting all the blame on a certain actress !!!!
