We cannot generalize. There are people who stand for themselves as well as for others, and there are people who cannot stand for themselves and also for others. But I have seen that generally in Indian cinema and serials, the female leads are all for others, they do good work, care for others, help others, stand up against anything being done wrong against others, but when it comes to their own self, they will just hide things, weep silently and don't do anything to oppose the bad things being done against them. Perhaps this is the best tactic (of creatives) to get sympathy of viewers.

Appy, ...the core issue remains the same. If she knew how it feels to be helpless so when she has her power to punish y she didn't!! ...like that what i have read😆...on that particular asha's case, what was my argument to the TM that how can her stand is decided on two completely diff issue. I wud have deffo agreed with double standard issue if a girl doesn't want to go to court against her cheater hubby complete same what anandi did. and anandi wud ahve forced her to dod so! How asha's case is comparable there!! If they wud haven't register the FIR then it wud have been a disaster. At that time immediate action was needed n anandi did that! Both case cant be major with one parameter.

On the particular case when anandi didn't send J to jail. Its simple if by choosing the other way victim got more facilities n success then whats the prob. If she wud have sent him to jail what she wud have got ? by letting him go. She actually excelled in her life. Her name was considered for sarpanch post just coz of the good image she had. That was very evident from ex sarpanch's words when he came to ask singhs abt sarpanch post. If she gained lot what the big problem. Victims progress matter, isn't it? And y shud her all good works always put in light way just coz of one past deed? If someone dare to stand up for a weak person, y her weak point is always targeted instead of helping or appreciating her!

Here in saanchi's case, she cant create chao in BH. Saanchi really doesn't care ant her n ganga. If anandi wud have shouted her then matter wud have become much much worst. She knew when to act. Just an example, she informed LS permitted j to go home. Saanchi fumed. But anandi put her in her place. Coz j was there. Saanchi really cant show her real self in front of him. And after reaching KB she really went immediately to talk with shiv.

All things n parameters shud be taken into consideration, when to act, how to act, what will be the effect, which be more effective or which will be more favorable. BUT always her stand, her self respect, her views , her actions always being judged on the basis of her one act. When she show flaws, she is still called being mahan!!

Kushi - I too agree.Asha 's case is about molestation so the situation is not comparable.
