Are you saying that for the real fans of BV which lasts this long, it doesn't matter who plays in it? Than the main actor, by that logic, could be replaced every five days, and true fans will enjoy the show. If it was so important that Toral realize her life dream and starring Anandi, why didn't they replaced Pratyusha after scene of love confession (which was a joke with Toral as Anandi), and then let Toral to make a grown up Anandi (it so stupid saying grown up, Pratyusha isn't a child). The story between Anandi and Shiv was what we wanted to follow through to the end. And whathever the reasons were for leaving and replacing Pratyusha, do you think that they could not agree to film two more episodes? For the viewers. Then they would have continue with Toral, after a while, though I could not see the purpose of further recording except for the money.
I have nothing against Toral. For me she is absolutely untalented in acting. She may be able to advertise, for example toothpaste. She definitely has a great, big smile.

Yes she is not as good as Pratyusha but i think that's more because Prats became perfect in playing Anandi after 1-2 years of experience

Pratyusha's Anandi no where resembled real Anandi...she was really good in acting but she was all together a new Anandi with new personality...when people did not like her imitation of childhood Anandi she came up with totally new personality who was submissive and rotali so let's not blame Toral for not being able to become Anandi

I feel the Golden Era of BV ended right after AnSh's marriage

Not even one track was proper related to AnSh...and Pratyusha was very much there as Anandi

Wasn't there saas-bahu drama even before Pratyusha left...she tried to use her impressive bahu skills to celebrate Makar Sankranti at both the places

so the SO CALLED REAL FANS OF BV please come up with better excuses to hate Toral or else stick to the fact that according to you Toral is not Anandi...do not blame her for everything which goes wrong in BV

For my part, I don't think Pratyusha ever tried to imitate Avika. Also, I believe the submissiveness of Prats' Anandi was a natural consequence on Anandi's character of a) growing up and maturing, and b) years of being told what to do and having her dreams squashed and re-moulded by DS and the chauvinistic society of Jaitsar. The original chirpy, bubbly child Anandi slowly became a woman who was only looking forward to spending her life being a dutiful wife and bahu to her husband and in-laws. So I don't remember feeling like Anandi's personality had changed when watching Prats take over from Avika. Both Avika and Prats lived Anandi in their own ways from the start of their tenures playing the character right to the very end.

However, I do not feel that Toral is living Anandi at all. I accept that she plays no part in coming up with the storyline, but as the lead of the show, her poor acting and lack of chemistry with the rest of the cast makes the show as a whole suffer for me. I have no interest in the character of Anandi any more because Toral's Anandi feels totally fake to me. I cannot bear to watch her, much less see her romancing Shiv. And even if the storyline was good, I have little faith that she could act convincingly enough to do justice to it. So I feel it's a case of Toral and the writers/directors pulling each other down, and so I would say that both are partly responsible for this show going to the dogs.

Also, this whole point of Toral's Anandi being more like Avika's Anandi... Anandi is happy now. Avika's Anandi was happy before DS started to tear her spirit down. But how can we connect those two Anandis directly while bypassing the Anandi in between... the Anandi played by Prats, to whom Toral's Anandi seems to have no connection at all?

I apologise if I offended anyone, but this is my honest POV. I also feel (and this is also in response to the previous thread about how SY fans are real BV fans) that anyone who's been a fan of BV at any point has been a genuine fan in their own way, and that no-one else has the right to tell anyone else what constitutes true fanship. I loved BV while it was giving me quality storylines and quality acting. I do not love it now because it's giving me rubbish. And it makes me sad, because I would sincerely like to love it, but I don't feel that anyone's ability or inability to accept sub-standard material makes them less true a fan.

But I also wanted to point out that people seem to suggest the moment Prats came in, Anandi became docile and morose. Did you not watch Avika's final episodes and then Prats' episodes before Jaggubhai left her for Gauri? P's A was more than cheerful and happy, even teasing DS now and then, and crying at the same occasions where Avika's A used to cry. It's not her fault A's character was written that way. Toral fails in our eyes because despite the fact that A is given such wonderful AnSh scenes - being in love with Shiv, or being desperate to find him - she. still. fails. at. playing. them. convincingly.

And lolll at 'P preferred Shashank to Sid, and could not show affection'. 1) Wow, yes, she totally did, that's why the TRP's skyrocketed during SidYusha's time to much more (and much more consistently) than they did during ShaSha's, and dropped after she left, even though Sid is still there. 😆 2) 'I will admit that she was great in being in love when the story demanded it, but she was terrible at showing affection when the story demanded that she not show affection!' 😛 Who's having trouble distinguishing between reel and real now? (even though I don't see anything to distinguish).

Hold one,why because we are Pratyusha fans always poked at? and because we well let me talk for myself now..cause i really cant stand Toral anymore,have to see these foolish type post every now and then., Its becoming so annoying..LOL Have you seen BV's TRPs now..not in history has they been SO low...
