I really wonder if just like Prat's replacement, even writers get replaced in BV.

Once upon a time BV was highly appreciated coz of its unique storyline, showing the different evils of Indian society and how those could be eradicated with education and modern thought process. Is it the same BV today? Are the writers the same. How could the same person capable of delivering such crap after spreading magic. Some of the best & worst tracks as per my analysis.

Best Tracks

1. Jagya's character building...they have showed how the son of a good parent could turn evil by a over-pampering grandmother.
2. Anandi taking the bullet for Jagya.
3. Jagya's second child marriage with Gauri
4. Jagya cheating both Anandi & Gauri and blaming child marriage for all his faults.
5. Gauri who initially is a nice gal turns grey in order to possess her love.
6. Anandi's introspection, determination, struggle, re-establishing herself in terms of education and power.
7. Ashi's arrival, Shiv's interaction with Anandi and realizing his liking for her through Ashi.
8. The first confrontation of Shiv & Jagya and the scenes in jail.
9. The subtle magical love developing between Shiv & Anandi which intoxicated the world of tele-viewers.
10. Anandi's dream during realization of love (not the process of realization)
11. Shyam-Sugna track...yes I do agree that there the wooing of Sugna was shown in a better and more realistic way. Once Sugna was completely in love with Shyam she never went back with her previous memories.
12. Initial days of Gehna...wow what a screen presence Neha Marda had in those days! I found her dialogue delivery, expression, strength of character even better than Anandi.

Worst Tracks

1. Non-consummation of marriage after mutual expression of love.
2. No honeymoon till 3 months after marriage.
3. Anandi remaining in Haveli at night knowing Jagya still has feeling for her.
4. Anandi literately forcing(emotionally blackmailing) Jagya for remarriage. A person who himself is not ready, how could he give happiness to someone else?
5. Sanchi falling for Jagya.
6. An IAS officer following a Ratan Singh to bring back the child.
7. Anandi who bewitched a highly qualified IAS officer for her virtues, forgot all her education/panchayat work and suddenly reduced into a housewife...with no ambition, no future-planning. I don't say that a house-wife is anything less...but currently she has no reason to be one...she has no kids, she has no additional responsibility at home. As a working woman we get only 2 weeks leave for marriage 😛

Pratyusha or Toral...for us viewers the most important factor is the storyline...The TRP dropped initially coz of Prats's departure and would dip further if the CVs keep on researching on their talent.

More than agree, they should change the director and writer. Anandi and Shiv track is too slow. Instead of showing their happy married life they are into all sort of family drama.

good post...

I think its high time to shut down the BV production and get something more refreshing show as BV has reached its saturation point. few observations,

1. All social issues has been addressed till now.
2. lack of good story is the reason behind dragging all festivals/events for a week long activities
3. Nobody is interests in Jagyas third marriage track which is a no social issue for most of us.
4. Sid, just getting 2 minutes of footage and acting as eye candy for the show to pull TRP which is also not working as BV rank is dropped to number 13 this week.
5. Main character replacement issue is still under debate and will be continue for a long time.
6. BV has started now focusing too much on kitchen politics
7. ANSH is missing as people are still struggling accepting Toral as anandi

These are my POV, need not agree with me.

As J's redemption is still going on and he needs to learn how to come out of the mess and Anandi still needs to find her place in the world they should concentrate on these two things and finish the story as soon as possible and end it in a decent manner that a show like BV deserves.

If they want to keep the show going they better pull up the writer/director duo and make sure they come up with a better written and better executed episodes with proper tracks which are in line with the theme of the show along with proper redemption track for Jagya instead of going on and on about his nth wedding and Anandi's professional life and married life.

Hi Debbie,

I loved your analysis. Just to add one more, I also loved Phooli's natha pratha tracks and Gehna's initial days tracks.

As of now, there is no story. Only 2 things are pending in my opinion. AnSh consummation (which will happen soon and it is no longer the much awaited track).

The other one is life of J - Gauri after separation. We still need to know what happened to G and her pregnancy. As for J, he is already on redemption and his third marriage is not a social issue. Whether he marries or not does not matter as long as he remains a good human being.

Ganga's track is good but she is not the central character. So the story cannot revolve around her to make it a show puller. She is just one more BV, whose life also is on track.

This show is about J and A. A is sorted and J needs to be. It's time BV puts a decent end to its show and make it memorable for its loyal viewers.

Also Sugna-Shyam track was very good. How a teenage girl falls in love and then pays for it dearly in a harsh society where single mothers are treated like prisoner.
The way she accepts a new person & learns to love/trust again was shown very nicely. In fact better than Anandi's realization.

Great post debumonty!
I agree with your list of best and worst tracks (though I have more to add to the list of worst tracks)...except for one point.
I don't think there's anything wrong with Anandi being a housewife at the moment...I do agree that Shiv didn't fall for Anandi because she was a damsel in distress, but because she carved her own identity despite all odds being against her, so keeping that HUGE aspect of Anandi in mind, I too would like to see Anandi pursue her career in Udaipur as well... however, I think it's okay for her to resume "wifely" duties at the moment. She needs time to settle down in Udaipur, especially Kesar Bagh (amidst her fun-loving in-laws and crazy sister-in-law) so I guess it's okay for her to take things slowly at first. But yes, the "slowly" shouldn't become permanent... they should show Anandi adapting to her new environment, being a good wife, a good daughter-in-law and all that other sugar coated stuff...but soon enough, she should also step outside the confines of Kesar Bagh and reach out to bigger and better career-related opportunities (much like her husband).
I didn't mean to just pick on one point and rant (sorry if I came off that way)...all I mean to say is that I think it's not entirely a bad track if Anandi is shown as a housewife...being a housewife is no easy task after all..so if that track is explored then hopefully it is dealt with in an untypical and positive manner (which means that it shouldn't have all the rona dhona)...and along with being a housewife, Anandi could also be shown as a working woman. Being a housewife doesn't mean keeping yourself within the four walls of your kitchen (like Sumitra) and being a modern working woman doesn't mean finding household chores beneath yourself (like Saanchi)...women (regardless of socical status) are very much capable of handling both duties with utmost responsibility, and if any other woman can do it, then why not Anandi! :)
Btw, another best track could be (I say "could" because it hasn't been shown yet :P) Gauri's return and some closure on her story. Also, I'm not sure if this is a valid point for this topic, but I'm also highly disappointed with whatever's become of Gehna's character...is this the same woman who yelled at Jagya for bringing Gauri home? She doesn't even get a single dialogue in the episodes nowadays!

Updated the points in the post as per feedback. Somehow I feel that all tele-serials begin with good note and some story-line. But after few days when the main objective is met, then they just drag the story with stupid romances and eye-locks.

I think most writers in tele-world can write good romantic script, however lack when it comes to dynamic stuff.

I used to be a great fan of Purnendu Shekhar after watching master-pieces like Vaastav, Jyoti, Balika Vadhu. But don't know whats going on...got no clue 💔

btw in the worst tracks there are gazzillion more during pre AnSh days.

specially during Jagya Anandi days.

I do not think there are any worse tracks in BV... its just there are boring tracks and dragging tracks and then highlight tracks.

This is necessary for BV to last for a long time. No wonder its been running for 5 years. If it just shows awesome awesome high fi scenes then even that can be very heavy duty to us viewers.

We are able to enjoy the high points because of hte low points in the show. Its just the way of story telling. So I cannot fault them there.

LIke masin said.. A needs to settle down and until IPL the settling down will happen. BV always manages to come back to its top position so I am thinking this will happen again after IPL.

For me SR is not a high point for me .. Anandi's working and handing another social issue will be high point

ofcourse gauri drama will be

Ganga sanchi Anandi Jagya shiv tiff.. Shekars vs. Singhs is coming up.

Ira is shown to be a very weak minded person.. so naturally .. she will support sanchi for her doctor husband-jagya fantasy thing (stupid her-if she does that)

Anandi will be against it. She will know that Jagya and Sanchi just cannot work out. He needs someone like Ganga.. so that whole track is in the pipe line. I am ok with it.

I like Ganga's characterization and amidst all other boring shows this is very good with great story line.
