Remember this?

Among the plethora of channels and shows on TV, some of them stand out. In fact, certain scenes are still etched in our memory, either because of the way they were shot, their interesting plots or simply because of the performances. We have picked up a few that were compelling enough to make it to the list...

Kshama Rao

The 'Dadisa marrying off little Jagya secretly' scene
Most of the scenes in Balika Vadhu are memorable especially those involving little Anandi and Jagya. But one sequence that has stayed in mind is when Dadisa, the doting granny decides to get Jagya married again without the family's knowledge. With Anandi losing her memory partially, Dadisa feels she will not be able to perform her wifely duties and so decides to marry her grandson again to a girl from a poor family. While the wedding takes place, Jagya's and Anandi's parents reach the venue and spoil the fun. What's more, the new bride's parents are in for a shock too to see Jagya's first wife Anandi. It was an emotionally charged scene where each character goes through turmoil and shame at Dadisa' s actions and at the heart of it, three little lives – that of Anandi, Jagya and the new child-wife – changing forever.

TFS.

This article got me all nostalgic.BV was truly a path breaking show back then.

Reminded of all those tracks dealing with all those social issues in such an entertaining and engrossing manner and very thought provoking they were.

Keeps me hoping against hope that one day they return to what the show is all about.

At the same time it was dragged not like these days with Tipari fiasco. Her childhood love for Bhairon.. I stopped watching BV for a while.. I love Sakshi but I guess not that blindly to watch her in Tipari avtar...

I went to India to attend my nephew's Upanayan Sanskar, it is as big as a daughter's marriage. Being only pisimaa/ paternal aunt my family sent me tickets, so I went to my parent's place. Its a small town but function was held in our village which is only 20 KMs from the town. I stayed in town to
look after in coming guest with my Nani maa. With her I staeted watching BV again in 2011 and got addicted. After working 10 to 12 hrs/day BV was my treat but unfortunately, after confession I can't dare to watch my fav only desi show. I tried another show but couldn't continue the bakwaas...

Yes I do miss my show. Character is important but suitable actor who can act is more important for me, so only dare to watch selective episode after reading WU otherwise this forum is my favorite timepass...
