Kshama Rao The 'Dadisa marrying off little Jagya secretly' scene Most of the scenes in Balika Vadhu are memorable especially those involving little Anandi and Jagya. But one sequence that has stayed in mind is when Dadisa, the doting granny decides to get Jagya married again without the family's knowledge. With Anandi losing her memory partially, Dadisa feels she will not be able to perform her wifely duties and so decides to marry her grandson again to a girl from a poor family. While the wedding takes place, Jagya's and Anandi's parents reach the venue and spoil the fun. What's more, the new bride's parents are in for a shock too to see Jagya's first wife Anandi. It was an emotionally charged scene where each character goes through turmoil and shame at Dadisa' s actions and at the heart of it, three little lives – that of Anandi, Jagya and the new child-wife – changing forever. |
