Crying during bidaai is being a drama queen if you are going to live in the same city/ village . I have so many drama queen friends then.

Not sure who this was directed at, but thought I'd clarify anyway that I, at least, didn't think she was being a drama queen, just that the CV's made that scene a little bit OTT, and I didn't feel as moved as I normally do in other sad scenes. It's all subjective though, and that was just me being annoyed by some of the acting, especially Sumi's. So for the record, Anandi is one of my favorite characters; I think the point of bidaais is the sadness and tears of leaving; I think the idea of being faux 'modern' is as stupid as Saanchi; but I just don't like the OTT tendencies the CV's display sometimes; and I wish there had been an element of happiness and acknowledgment (by someone other than Khajan and outside the context of Bhago's promise, because this marriage is much more than Anandi's promise to Bhago now) that the family she is going to is pretty great and she's going to start a happy new life.

Like I said, Shiv won't purposefully make her cry. The Shekhars should do a better job with reeling Saanchi in, I agree, but except for Saanchi, they all love Anandi, and I doubt anything Saanchi does will hurt Anandi as much as the things a certain member of the Singh family did to her. Basant threw a fit over what Saanchi did because it made Anandi unhappy and was an insult, but he was the one demanding that Jagdish stay in the haveli during his 'sickness' despite the fact that that would make Anandi absolutely miserable and uncomfortable at the time. All families have joy and sorrow, love and hate, peace and war. However genuine the concern may be over what Saanchi does or does not do, it just seemed at bit rich coming from him, considering the pain Anandi has received from the Singhs (or maybe just DS in the early years and Jagdish in the later years), however great the happiness.

I also think Bidai is a bit overdone. And the singhs were selfish concerned about their daughter only as usual, as if she will cry only if shiv makes her cry. Only expection was Khajan who adviced her to be nice too.
The singh drama troop forgot their daughter is a drama queen and she just needs a chance to cry. The haveli and the people are so overgrown on her that she will make a pre text of missing it and start crying. She is far away from understanding that she is going to a new home and has to accept them as hers and be happy. Some how i feel that she prefers to be nostalgic about her old life and is a bit reluctant to accept the best things happening in her life such an adorable husband and a nice family. See prat in the interviews.
I think a girl is sad when she leaves her maika, but she is also happy to look forward to her new life. But Anandi is an exception. Her attitude is a bit confusing.
We need to see how well she accepts her new life and do justice to her new husband and sasural. We are all expecting that she will be a good wife and DIL, but we will not see it happening soon.

Cute is a word used especially for children and sometimes ladies. Men are called handsome, dashing, smart, etc
But it is okay to call shiv 'cute' who is so girlie girlie...😆
And let me tell you dear, those were crocodile tears, in which I find nothing new...😆

Dearie, I am not saying that I never found him handsome. Initially I did.
But as we got to see him more, we found him to be a real boring man, the kind of men who like to live under their wife's thumb. All that he has to do is say 'I understand' a maha-boring dialogue for a man..
He talks also like a girlie. so in my view he is a cute girlie.

@shinya shiv is a clever guy. He knows how to pacify anandi and till now he always supported in her decisions to again her trust and respect. This is very common for guys before marriage. You will see more shades to his personality with anandi post marriage. When you are married you dont take things lightly. You are forgetting that he makes her smile. If you see he is the only one who can make her smile and get her out from her crappy past memories. I think you should watch ansh scenes carefully, I know he told many times that he understands anandi. If he was under the wife thumb kind he would never had raised his concern about anandi's ex-husband when he came back in their life. He gave anandi 2 chances to get out the engagement and go back to jagya. His role is not boring but has many shades. He was insecure about anandi's relationship with jagya and will have till anandi accepts his love. But the difference btw him and gauri is shiv will not get the insecurity ruin his relationship wit anandi. His character is the most lovable one, selfless and not even anandi's character. Anandi to some extent is selfish esp with shiv.
