I agree with every word you said!

But I guess Saanchi was just expecting a Bhabhi like Ashima, who is familiar with Saanchi's lifestyle so Saanchi can hang out with or go to movies with. Saanchi was just expecting a friendly bhabhi but got someone totally opposite of her taste. She is just blinded by the view that villagers are backwards and outdated. She just needs to remove that curtain from her eyes and then I am sure she will like Anandi. If not Ashima wouldn't like Anandi at all right?

I mean after all Anandi needs to have a challenge after she gets married to Shiv orelse, if everyone gets along with Anandi from Shiv's family wouldn't the show be boring? Besides the show creators can't come up with new themes/plot lines all the time...Unless they have a suggestion box and we suggest them new plot lines! 😛

Looks like shekars spent all their knowledge and energy in raising their boys and left saachi to grow up all by herself...shekars just need to cuther pocket money and madam will be bad on track...waise looks like dialogue writers have no work to give saachi dialogues...they are doing cut copy paste ofgaga dialogues

You are so right. Gauri did have some reason to hate the Singhs, no matter how illogical it was. But for Sanchi, I find absolutely no justification for her prejudice. In fact it is ironical how the young girl is so prejudiced while the older members of the family are liberal!!! She is absurdly bitter...it would have still made sense if she were Shiv's elder sister and older to Shiv, and had her own set of preconceived notions. But I find it absolutely hard to digest that a young girl in her late teens-early 20s, who is apparently living independently in a hostel, is so constricted in her thinking, and the whole family shivers in her fear !!!

Antara i have seen girlslike saachi who think modernity is all about clothes, makeup, figure and english...but in most cases even their entire family thinks that way...but in this case shekars seem to be a very different lot, military family, one son is a collector working forvillage upliftment...saachi does not fit...the way ira and meenu was making excuses for saachi in front of ds just reminded me of singhs making 3xcuse for gaga behaviour...it was like shekars were trying to hide daag in their beautiful saari...i hated gauri...but saachi is plain annoying and stupid...how come she got such long leave for diwali...she should be back in college...i was just thinking abt shiv dialogue abt sanskar to jaggu in jail...iseeing saachi i think he should have saved it for his own sister.

I am not lying Antara but that was excatly my thought when Sanchi said "Bhaiya itne bhole hain ki yeh nahi samjh rahe Anandi sirf seedji saadi dikhti hai par woj kitni tez aur chaalak hai. Bhaiya ke saath saath pure parivaar ko apne pyar mein phansa liya hai"
I was like LOL...yeh toh bilkul Gawari ki tarah bol rahi hai yaar...
bhola bhala CS...😆
Abhi tak discussion was ki CS is kadak kadak collector ki casanova collector...aaj pata chal he is bhola bhala collector...

That's true. There are girls like her who lack depth in their characters and judge the world by their cosy, urban hubs, shopping malls, multiplexes and false sense of modernity. But she is an ultimate mismatch for the Sekhar family. In fact, I didn't like the way the family handles her. Only Aloke seemed to take some strict stance against her.
Apart from him, the rest of the family is too slack with her.
Ira looks very helpless in front of her. If I had behaved like that in front of my mom, she would have slapped me right away.

Chhotima's position regarding Sanchi is a little ambiguous. She does not overtly pamper her, but I think she kind of distances herself from the disciplining part of it. She rather slips it under the rug and maybe sighs a relief that her own son is not such a brat.

Mahi takes it too lightly.

Even Shiv's attitude towards Sanchi is disappointing. He doesn't seem to mind Sanchi's insults towards Anandi too much. Not once has he put his sister straight, and instead expects Anandi to win her heart!!

I agree with most of what you have written Antara but differ a little bit on two things
Ira's response - I know of kids who when pampered as children get totally out of the hands of the parents howseover nice they are. Now she has not done anything so grave that they throw her out of the family etc. It becomes very difficult to manage such kids. They don't even get disciplined on shouting or slapping...Right now, I think Ira is more worriedabout Sanchi hurting Singhs, Anandi and Shiv. I think that is why they r not telling her abt divorce either. They just don't know how she will react with her big mouth and may end up not only embarassing them but hurting Singhs too. They are just doing damage control as much as possible specially Ira
As to Shiv, in his defence, i really liked his attitude when he told her to go back to hostel and not come for dinner...he made it very clear...tujhe nahi aana toh u can go back...it is ur choice u want to be part of my hapiness or not. Yes, I agree that he still not understanding the gravity of the issue or how low Saanchi is thinking. Also, i think his only reason to tell Anandi that Saanchi may not be very keen to meet her but he has confidence in her was to make her mentally prepared. Again, I felt that was sign of an open relationship based on trust, comfortablity with each other and truth.
