His anger on Gauri was justified but insulting her in front of friends and leaving her entirely is totally wrong. She was rude to his family but she didn't cheated on him with other guy or haven't done some big blunder that she deserve such treatment. And how he reacted in front of everybody, had he tried to know whats going on here and why Gauri is in bride's dress, had he thought that he should not do tamasha right here and first let the function complete then talk to Gauri, first he slapped her in front of everybody, then when Gauri's mother came in middle he said "Sabko pata toh chale ki aapki beti kaisi hai" Waah Mr. Jagya wah, then why not tell everybody how you are and what you did with both anandi and gauri... What a loser?
And how come that repentence, love for his family and love for Anandi developed overnight, just one mistake of Gauri and he turned his back on her. Gauri is hateful and self-centered (only for Anandi and singh family but not for others and she is infact honest in her work and relation with jagya). Its true she insulted his family, but then what he did? Even after doing all this he wants forgiveness, but not willing to forgive Gauri - why? If he himself never respected his own family who did this much for him, then how can he expect Gauri to love his family. Instead of leaving her entirely, he could have forced her to come to Jetsar and ask for forgiveness to his family. And Gauri would have even done that. But this guy is nothing but escapist, actually such escapist always want to get rid of responsibilities and as soon as they get some weak point of others or any reason they just grab/hold it and make excuse of it to easily get away with anything or get escaped
Maybe he wasn't happy with Gauri since long time, and obviously his relation with her was on rocks because of lot many issues between them. but ab khud ke pair pe patthar mara, Anandi ko dump kar diya and pariwar se muh mod liya toh ab nibhana toh padega and kise complaint kareh. But as soon as found one weak point of Gauri, instead of giving justified punishment he entirely left her. But he expect his family and Anandi to take back. Such a hypocrite
And he isn't improved. He is still same. Because when he saw Anandi getting engaged, again as usual blamed god, his destiny and went to bar to drink. Then went to his home and lied again that he didn't know about Anandi's engagement but DS soon caught his lie, then instead of bravely facing the situation and accepting things - bhai-saab behos hogaye and bimar pad gaye
