Gauri In Haveli - 2

Everyone looks towards the direction of the voice and see Jagya standing near the stairs with Dadisa behind him. He walks next to anandi and Shiv without breaking his eye contact with Gauri. Gauri starts taunting Jagya "Oh, so you came out at last. Are you not ashamed to stay here with your ex-wife knowing that she is engaged?". "Just shut up Gauri. Aur kitna neecha giro gi tum aise baat karke" retorts Jagya. Gauri burns with anger "Mei neecha girne ka kaam kya kiya Jagat. Tum mujhe neeche kehne se pehle tum apne aap ko dekho. Tum ne mere saath jo kiya woh Kya tha. Tumhara parivar ne mere saath jo kiya woh kya tha". Jagya storms "Mere parivar ke baare mein ek shabd bhi nahi Gauri". "Wah Jagat. Tumhara parivar? Aur mai kya? Mai tumhare liye Kuch nahi hu?" Gauri breaks down with cracked voice. Jagya glaring at her "Ha kuch nahi ho. Maine tumko apna maan ke bahot badi galti kar betha. Abhi toh mujhe pata chal raha hai ki apna kaun aur paraya kaun. Maine tum par kitna bharosa kiya, tumko kitna mana aur tum ne mujhe kya diya Dhoka, Jhoot, mera parivar ke liye nafrat. Tumne mera vishwas thoda Gauri".

Gauri angrily replies "Mei ne dhoka diya tum ko. Yad dilado, tum ne mujhse shaadi sudha hone ki baat chupa ke mujh se pyaar nahin ki. Kya wo dhoka nahi tha. Phir jab pata chala toh kaha ki Anandi se kabhi tumne pyar nahi kiya. Wo jhoot nahin tha. Aur jab hum shaadi ke baad yaha aaye toh tum ne kaha ki sab man jayenge, patience rakho. Lekin in sabko toh Anandi ki siwa koi nahi dikhta. Mere kitne insults hui tum ne kabhi rokha tumhari parivar ko nahi, tum chup rahe aur toh aur mujhe bhi chup karaya". Jagat stays mum. "Aur ye Anandi toh tum ko kabhi bhi mere nahi hone diya. Jab dekho Jagya, Jagya kar ke tum ko phone kiya, mauka mila toh tum ko yaha bulaya. Mujhse tum ko alag karne ke kitne koshish ki. Tumhara sara parivar meri peeth pechay meri kilaf tum ko badkaya. Tumhare bapusa unka guilt kam karne ke liye mujhe padaya. Mere blalai soch kar nahi. Mai tum ko khona nahi chahti thi. Mai tumse bahut pyar karti hu. Mere sath ghar chalo Jagat". Jagya responds "Maine tumko chaha tha Gauri lekin ab nahi. Maine badi galti ki, meri achi se zindagi ko chod kar tum se shaadi ki. Anandi ko samajh nahi paya aur usse, mera parivar ko bahut dukh diya. Andha ho gaya tha mai. Sahi galat ke fark samajh nahi aaya mujhe. Lekin ab nahi".

Gauri closes her eyes as if taking in everything that Jagat said but she was not crying. "I will not lose to you today Anandi. I will get him back" she kept saying to herself. She throws a stern look at Anandi turning to her "You must be very happy right now thinking that you succeeded in separating me and Jagat. You got a fiance now right, even then why are you after Jagat. Just leave me and let us be happy. What have I done to you that you are always after my happiness. Please have a little shame. He is no more your husband that you are keeping him here even after you are engaged to someone". Shiv was fuming in anger and was disgusted at Gauri. But before he can say anything Anandi looks at him and nods no as if understanding his inner thoughts.

By then Jagya walks near Gauri facing her and now standing just inches apart with abomination in his eyes "Gauri I told you before and I am telling you again not a word against my family and Anandi. We might not have a relation now but we had once and for that I am telling you to not drag her into this. You know well why I hate you. Its because of your insecurity and deception". Gauri starts shouting at Jagat "How dare you talk to me like that. You support Anandi for relation you once had and what about me? Did you ever support me - NO. I am insecure who made me like that Anandi. Calling you even at nights, making you come here by giving stupid family reasons. And you talking to her hiding from me". Jagya cuts her off saying "You felt that because you never trusted me. Anyway I don't want to talk to you anymore. Just get out". Gauri retorts "What about the relationship we had. I love you and you love me". Jagaya again cuts her saying "There is nothing left between us Gauri. Do you remember you once told Anandi that 'Jagat mujhe pyar karta hai. Its better you accept the truth and move on without hanging on to him'. Now I tell you the same Gauri that you don't have any place in my life now so move on and leave me". "Its easy to preach but hard to practice is it not?" he says taunting her.

Gauri at this point loses her patience to reason with Jagya. She curtly starts rambling "You destroyed my life and ask me to move on. Who do you think you are? You are the same as your family. Of Course why not you are their son after all. Such a father can only have such a son. Your family never had dignity to treat me, their DIL nicely then how can I expect the son of such family to act rationally. They always wanted to ruin my family for this Anandi. Even now they don't have common sense to send you to me your wife and instead kept you here. How low can your family get. Disgusting people". Jagya gives one tight slap on Gauri's right cheek. Everyone is stunned and flabbergasted. Gauri is more pissed than surprised and goes on and on taunting him and his family more about how there are after her life since her childhood, how they ruined their family after the marriage and never gave her the rightful place as his wife both the times. Jagya gives her another slap. Gauri stops her blabbering and stares at floor frigidly.

Her parents who were in the shock till now by Jagat's behaviour walk next to Gauri and ask Jagat to stop. They plead him not do this to Gauri. Jagat coldly replies "Now you know how it feels if a girl loses her life partner. You always taunted Anandi as Woh aurat without even thinking about what she lost. I lost trust in you people and I am not going to accept or forgive Gauri. She tried to separate me from my family even after knowing how much they meant to me. That is not love and you people helped her instead of showing her right from wrong". He looks directly at Gauri who is looking at Jagat furiously "I want to clear one last thing Gauri. You keep telling my family destroyed your childhood by marrying you to me. But let me remind you, your family was also involved in that. You were not forced to marry me by my family but you and your family decided for your reasons. They are to be blamed as much as anyone else".

Gauri looks up at Jagat and says "Don't you dare talk about my family or compare mine to yours. I am ashamed to have loved you. I don't care if you come back to me or not. I hate you Jagat. I HATE YOU. How dare you slap me. I can slap you back remember that and it won't think again next time". Jagya annoyed says "I hate you too Garui. I don't want to see your face ever". Gauri retaliates "Neither do I. Come ma, bapusa lets go". They try to put some sense into her but she retorts "I don't want to have any relationship with this man or his family, I said lets go". With that Gauri gives a stare at Anandi and taunts "Ab toh tum bahut khush hogi, Jagya ko pakra aur mujhe barbad kar ke. Ab shanti se raho. Tum jeet gayi hum dono ko alag karne me. Bechara hone wala pati" she looks at Shiv. Shiv gives her a cold stare which didn't get unnoticed by Anandi and family or Gaur. He replies "Don't worry about me I can take care of myself. And I know Anandi pretty well so I don't need your advice. Don't go around pointing fingers at others and giving your opinions before getting your facts right". Anandi again stops him from saying anything further. He composes himself realizing its not his place to talk now. Gauri gives a disgusted look to Anandi, Jagya and family before leaving the haveli.
