Ok'so the Roka is finally over! Anandi Shiv are officially betrothed to each other! Whoo- hoo! My general ramblings on todays epi and the last :
1)Lets first tackle the issue that most people seem to have these days.(I admit- I was one of them). Not a big fan of Anandi yesterday with all her random Jagya flashbacks and her general stone coldness. I kinda had a change of heart about it though after discussions with others over the epi and on repeat viewing , I felt a whole lot better about her general conduct.
If a repeat viewing made me feel better- todays epi sealed the deal. We get to SEE why Anandi is behaving the way she is. Now, all her flashbacks make SENSE to me. She is getting into a new relationship right AFTER her divorce & her mums demise. If my memory serves me right- the divorce happened sometime in early July? Its been less than a month people! And to think about it- yes, Shiv is an awesome awesome (did I mention AWESOME ?) guy but lets be real- so was Jagya (as much as I hate to admit it).
I never followed the show when it took a leap and focused on the grown up Anandi-Jagya love story. But from whatever flashbacks I have seen recently- seemed like Jagya was apparently at one point in time in "love" with her. (Though I beg to differ on whether it was love or just simple lagaav with a person you happen to spend your entire life with). Anyhoo- point of the matter is- he loved her and showered her with his affections. They were quite the picture perfect couple. Even during childhood- he was always by her side- supporting her in front of DadiSa etc. So to cut a long story short- think this through from A's POV- here was this guy who she thought she loved and who apparently loved her in return and then he did whatever he did to her. If we look at BV before the Gauri storyline- we would NEVER in a million years imagine that Jagya was ever capable of betraying her. So what exactly should make A believe that the past is not going to repeat? Ever heard about- once bitten, twice shy? I think it fits her state of mind really well.
She is NOT anti-Shiv. She is anti relationship. She gave SO much- dedicated so much to ONE relationship and got nothing in return. Like she told Ashi- love was equal to worship for her. She put Jagya on this pedestal and he literally kicked her backside while sitting on that very pedestal. I think her flashbacks today pretty much showed her chain of thought. She remembers the day Bhairon came calling to approve her as Jagyas would be bride. We all know how that turned out. And she compares this to how CM today said the same thing- hume yeh rishta manzoor hai. What guarantee does the poor thing have that its going to be different this time?
Anyways, the throwing the necklace part signified how she treats being in a relationship equivalent to being in shackles. I felt sorry for her. And then as quickly as she burst out in the moment of indiscretion, she regained her senses, became calm- paid her due respect to the necklace and wore it back and of course called up Shiv!
2)Shiv-Shiv- SHIV! What do I say about the guy which I have already not said before?! 😆He has been SO DARN CUTE and BANG ON with his expressions recently- especially with all his sharmana and his nazrein jhukana, nazrein uthana and finally nazrein milana! LOOOL'like really. Never saw this day coming! Never thought CollectorSaab would be THIS shy! Hehe. But I love love love seeing Shiv in this avatar. His family has really brought out a different side of him. I also think Siddharth has been doing a splendid job since the past couple of epis. He must be a good student- working with actors like Sudhir Pandey and of course our Surekha Sikri, is showing!
So I want to make a random list of his actions/ expressions over the past couple epis:
i)Was it me or did anyone else notice how he used his hands a lot in Mondays epi? His gestures in response to Daddus antics were too cute!😆
ii)Today, when DS brings up the we-want-early-wedding issue, he was not too keen about it! Liked that bit- consistent! He loves her more than anything but does not want to rush her into it.😳
iii)Of course him taking just Rs.101 from the thaal. Knew about it from the SBB segment-but still nice to see! And oh, glad to see Anandi's acknowledgment.😃
iv)His phonecall! And his niharoing Anandi on the handy cam while calling!😆
v)The conversation! Sweet, effective- very Shiv. Oh how he loves his Anandiji. The way he almost blurts out his true feelings but then has to hold them back. Bechara! Pyaar ka maara. Have been noticing this since the home alone epi. He blurts out mann ki baat and then gets all conscious about it. LOOOL. Really liked how he HAQ se asks Anandiji to let him offer her a ride! And awww, that very SWEET smile playing on his lips when Anandiji agrees. So so so cute!😆😳
CAN'T wait for tomorrow to see the two playing fiance- fiance !😳
Edit: Forgot to add- tomorrow we might just get the 'Jeep Date' we voted for in Anjanas thread. 😆
Other bits I liked:
1) DS general happiness over Anandi-Shiv rishta! The smart dokri had tears in her eyes in yesterdays epi. Truly what a brilliant turn this character has taken- for the good!
2) DS-Daddu! LMAAAO! We are getting what we wished for! Didja guys notice DS' hopeful muh when Daddu promises to be back soon with his war-tales? LOOOL'The precap and flower exchange has me all excited!😆
