"it is a bit difficult to fathom this guy" so said Dadisa while introducing Jagya to Shiv in the police station. In a single stroke, she did a brilliant summarization of Jagya and her words showed her contempt for her grandson.
I do not therefore think Dadisa has any ulterior motive in marrying off Anandi. Some of the friends feared that she might be thinking of getting back Jagya into the haveli after Anandi leaves. But, her desire of getting Anandi married off is purely out of her concern for this girl which she made amply clear when she reasoned with Anandi for remarriage. Somehow, I felt, she holds herself responsible for the situation that Anandi today finds herself in.
She is therefore hoping that perhaps Anandi's parents could convince her and make her reconsider her decision. But,in her desire to rectify the mistake made earlier, she probably forgot that Anandi is no longer a kid and is now a grown up individual.
Now she does not need convincing alone, she needs reassurance that things will not go wrong again. That reassurance can only come from Shiv and no one else.
I wish, both of them are given enough time to understand each other, know the strength and weaknesses and let Anandi confess at least to herself that she has found her match in Shiv. Till that happens, the whole convincing part will appear a bit forced.
I do not know who have approved of a reunion of Jagat and Anandi, but, to me, no sensible person would like to see a girl remains in a marriage with a two timing husband.
If she gets married to Shiv only because her mother wants her to do so, then we are forcing Anandi to move from one forced marriage to another. Nothing really changes for her. Does it?
