I really liked that scene. While I don't need a glimpse into Anandi's state of mind because I already know, I think the scene was important in bringing her feelings out. She has lived a very oppressed childhood, and has not really confided her feelings to anybody. Through these situations she is bringing things out, things she kept buried inside for years. She is being herself without worrying about others and their feelings or hurting them. She doesn't care as much anymore.

That scene was also good to show how much resentment she has inside. As a child, she changed herself to other's needs. Now she is seething with resentment. She grew up with her life revolving around her "beend", she did so much, made so many sacrifices, but he is gone forever, rejecting her, rejecting what she laid out before him so openly. For the first time, I saw resentment in Anandi. So far I saw anger and sadness, but today I saw resentment, a deep-rooted resentment for what she had to go through and how all of that was a complete waste, all her life she lived for nothing.

I really hope that Shiv makes her realize that Jagya's leaving her was the best thing that happened. She is no longer oppressed, living under someone else's shadow, and she now has the freedom to really be herself, choose her life partner and her career.
