I felt bad for both Anandi and Jagya. I think Anandi is sad right now more for what could have been rather than what is, she was crying for the Jagya she thought he was but ended up being someone else instead. She had a vision of him that shattered with his actions, she was crying for that more than Jagya himself, for her good moments when she saw him as the husband she really wanted in her life. I think this is closure for her. Till now they were still tied by a bond. After the divorce, she will be truly free, and I think she will feel like a burden has lifted, and she doesn't need to be sad anymore. I hope she reaches a stage where she realizes that Jagya was not the right life partner for her, and his leaving was the best thing. Shiv's love will hopefully make her realize that.
It would have been easier for Anandi to move on had she not lived with Jagya's family where she is reminded of Jagya everywhere, but since she spent 18 years with them they are her family. It just makes moving on more difficult. As they say, out of sight out of mind.
I felt bad for Jagya as well. He is a victim of child marriage as well. He dealt with his marriage with Gauri in a very insensitive manner, but he was a spoiled kid. Dadisa always blamed Anandi no matter what, now Jagya is doing the same because it makes him feel less bad about himself. Of course deep down he knows. He was truly alone today. He gave up everything for Gauri, someone who doesn't really understand him, someone who doesn't care as much as his family. On the positive side, he made his choice (Gauri) and is sticking with it. He really needed Gauri's support today. He really wanted her near him, helping him when he sees Anandi with his family. Gauri is just turning a blind eye to his depression. So I felt very bad for him. His family would have never accepted a second marriage come what may.
I did feel that he was truly alone today. Even when he was drinking and calling Gauri, she told him to focus on breaking his relationship with Anandi rather than drinking. Gauri focuses so much time and energy on telling him what to do rather than feeling his pain and supporting him. I would also feel bad if my husband would say he doesn't have time for me but spend all day on the phone. Every time she says "break your relationship with Anandi" I see Jagya withdraw a bit more, because that basically translates into "break the last bit holding you to your family".
