As an exception to what few people said
In my family one member is pursuing masters after MBBS, and the stipend recieved is more then 35 K.per month.
I personnaly dont want to disclose the exact figure, But it is handsome higher then what I have mentioned.
So it is happening in India.. and indian institutes are paying.

yup . SOME are. but general is low.

if you go to work in Delhi post MBBS and manage to get in or 1 other state i think MP -- you get payed about 25000/- per month

where as if you work in mumbai its just 16000-18000/- and less as you go outside the big cities

in other states it is even more less.

( i spoke only about mumbai)

also i am not saying it is an ALL OR NONE principle... there is always the 80%-20% rule

so i was talking about the general thing...

ALSO with such a high pay (25000) how many positions are there that offer this?? 3-4??

my basic point was that there is NO STANDARDIZATION of returns.

and i am not talking about pvt hospitals. (pay is USUALLy less here)

i am talking about govt owned ones. ..

also MOST post MBBS jobs are just for 1 year... (called JR ship)

the next year.. new interviews are held.. and you have to re-apply if you want to stay on (no guarantee that you will be held higher than the fresh candidates)

hope that clears up stuff

@earth:
It was our first interaction in your post. and Now i could understood few things about you.
You have mentioned in your third post to this topic the entire sentence which you have typed in your Post. For your sake I have edited the topic and written a D.C that the refference of the information is TID=3052609. "a word for gauri"
It remains no scope for your points to be misunderstood as I have provided less informations. You have made it clear, and I have also given the refference. who so ever want , can refer the conversation.
So please dont post in my topic. There are many other graceful doctors. who can share their views. there are many other graceful doctors who know how to respect others, and understand co-operations.
After seeing your hrassing comments on demographics , I really can not respect you. And I intentionlly and publically dont want to disrespect you.
It would be better for us to ignore each other. It would be good for both of us that we should not interfere in each other's posts. No like No dislike ..
Would be good to ignore each other.

I THINK IT IS NOT JUST ONE MEMBER BUT ACTUALLY THREE MEMBERS WHO R SAYING THAT.
all of whom are graduates from government owned medical colleges.
i woudl like to know which medical college in india is paying 35ooo rs ( that starting salary of a consultant ) in internship.
oh yes u were avoiding me i guess except u chose to open a thread on me.
so may be u can fidn another way to atleast enlighten us folks aboutthat medical college. kindly leave AFMC out.
that is again an army establishment having all government aids and perks ... they cannot be compared to government colleges and hospitals.
in my knowledge as my collegues in aiims and maulana azad have recently confirmed the stipend of a POst graduate is 8000 rs! and u have payment cut for every leave u take beyond two days.

if u had really wnated thatto avoid me ...then u shud not have started a post quoting my words.
it is your thread but it about my words , while my thread was about my views on a charcter. so i have a right to object and respond whether u like it or not. i did not invite u to my thread but by making me the subject matter of ur post , u have invited me urself. again it is not becuase i want to interact with you ... it is becuase i do nto want my words to be twisted and given wrong impression. i have the need and right to defend myself.
i dont think u can disrespect me beyond what u have already done.
please continue with ur discussion with graceful doctors ... and im not sure if they r respecting ur views . just becuase someone is being civil to you , dsnt mean they r liking hwta u say.
they understand my views and words and actually u can see, they are only saying what i have said.

You must know about your industry. Government colleges in India are paying this.
And we must adhere to what you have suggested to me..and let us not communicate to each other.

@ PAYALGARG

i empathize with the worrying things that you have seen.

i wouldnt mind justifying and explaining to you calmly everythign that you have asked me for.. and maybe helping alot of others understand the process.

just one request----

since i am calmly and politely answering everything you are asking me. i would appreciate if the anger you have towards some one else is not deflected onto me.

like i said earlier -- i am not typing anything to get in the middle of an on going argument between member but just to tell you my experience

I would highly appreciate if whatever you had to say was as a part of a "healthy" discussion and not an ALL CAPS ON ARGUMENT like in the past post.

hope you understand.

thanks
