If it's true that Shiv will make the first move & be rebuffed by Anandi, a little advice to him...don't jump the gun, take it easy buddy & tread carefully! It may take a while for Anandi to take the next step from friendship & trust to love!
Anandi is carrying a lot of baggage in her heart. It took her a long time to come out of the mental trauma heaped on her by jug head's callous, insulting & demeaning behavior towards her. He had crushed her self esteem, left her heartbroken & made her feel like she was a good for nothing, illiterate girl, he had the misfortune of being saddled with. And for a girl as caring, giving & intelligent as Anandi, it was a death blow dealt by someone she had dedicated her life to. Though she has fought her way back to normalcy with a brave face, deep inside the scars left by J are still smarting...that is why she is chasing him with the medal in her dreams. Not so much cause she still loves him or has fond hopes of reuniting with him, but to show him that she is not a loser and has an identity & worth of her own. He was her soulmate for 17 years (give or take the last 2 years after his infidelity was revealed) and for her to let a new man into her life is going to be a giant leap.
Poor Collector saab has a mammoth task ahead of him. He will have to break through her emotional barriers & help her to exorcise the ghosts of the past & the hurt which she has internalised deeply. He will have to be patient & prove his love & win Anandi's trust gradually. They have both been working very closely & had developed a camaraderie & a comfort level with each other (Anandi did not hesitate to touch him when helping him during the nose-bleed incident or when he was hurt during the skirmish yesterday) and all those gestures were a mere extension of the same sentiment. While he has already started falling in love with her...Anandi is not ready yet.
While she had started trusting him and developed a comfort level around him, seeing his face in her dream as her saviour will put her back on guard. His treatment of her is the absolute opposite of how J used to treat her. He is very open about his admiration & respect for her. The way he conveyed to her how he understood her pain (without being over sympathetic or showing any pity, which cud have been natural) & showed his admiration for her grit (saluted her) to emerge from this trauma, totally surprised her. Her expression when she turned around & looked at him in the end conveyed some confusion & disbelief in her eyes which kind of said...are you for real? Cause she has not received such care, concern, support, respect & understanding from a young man esp an outsider at that (bapusa, tausa, elders discounted). Infact if anything she has faced more of the Heth Singh's of this world till now. So if he expresses any feelings at this stage, she is going to spurn him instinctively out of fear...fear & denial of her own growing feelings towards him & also fear of getting hurt again.
