Anjum Farooki: Thriving on hate-DC
Anjum Farooki, aka Gauri of Balika Vadhu, was recently in town to for an event. While viewers might hate her for snatching Jagya away from Anandi in the telly serial, this pretty lady says she loves the hatred.
"It's good to know that people hate me because, I feel I am doing justice to my role. So in turn I can take credit for portraying my part well," she says. Anjum reveals that though she and Anandi play rivals on screen, off-screen they do quite a lot of masti. "Being of the same age group, we have fun. We are not the best of friends but we share a cordial relation and play pranks," she adds. Confessing to being a complete workaholic, she says, "I love to be on the sets. The work satisfies me a lot. At home I tend to get bored very easily."
She also reveals that she is a very good cook and a complete foodie. "I love food and I love making cakes. They are my favourite. And I don't like going to the gym. I am blessed with a good figure. I eat healthy." Being a Mass Comm student, Anjum is not at all fazed by her celebrity status as she says, "I am treated as a normal girl by my friends and family. There's no lavish treatment." About Hyderabad, she says, "This is my first time here and I would like to come back to explore this beautiful city."
