Don't throw chappals at me!! š Before you all start thinking I want Ashi with Shiv, let me say I DON'T. I'm for Anandi-Shiv all the way!
But in the gift scene at the school, I couldn't help but feel really bad for her. Thus far, she seems to be a very clean hearted, well-meaning person. And the actress did a surprisingly good job at her facial expressions to convey the pain of unrequited, one-sided love.š Despite so badly wanting Shiv to love her and on top of that seeing his growing connection with Anandi in front of her, she's not trying to draw Shiv's attention to herself away from Anandi (unlike someone else we know). If anything, she's bringing them closer together!
This shows that Ashi is a simple, self-respecting person who knows that you cannot grab love, and that separating your desired one from their true happiness is pointless. In this way, she is just like Anandi, who let Jagya go once she realized that he did not love her. That's why she and Anandi get along so well and that's why both these women are important to Shiv, even if they are in different roles. Because they share this golden, hard to find trait called SIMPLICITY. āļø Again, a beautiful example shown by CVs of opposites on the outside, but similar on the inside.
I do hope she remains a positive character who ultimately finds herself a worthy special someone!!
