Very wise decision. This lack of role is the reason Vibha(Sugna) went too.

All Gehna has to do is stand there and fetch chai nashta, or pile onto Nandu to do his homework. Pleeease - Neha can and shud do a lot more and have a principal role somehwere else. You know a more meaty role like Anjum or Anandi..

Neha Marda changes her priorities to bid adieu to Balika Vadhu!

Neha Marda aka Gehna of Colors' popular show 'Balika Vadhu' is set to quit the show which has made her a household name.
Buzz is that Neha will be tying knot with her businessman boyfriend Ayushman Aggarwal in February 2012 and thereafter she will be off to Australia on a long honeymoon. Neha plans to spend quality time with her husband and in laws after her marriage, hence she made the decision of quitting Balika Vadhu. Speaking further she said that this was a very tough decision of her career, considering the role of strong willed Gehna aka Taisa had made a mark on hearts of millions of viewers. However Neha has made her priorities clear by quitting the show and giving all her time to her husband and her new family.
When she broke the news to the production house, they tried to persuade her to stay put, but she has made her decision. Speaking further she said that her would- be-mother in law also doesn't want her to quit the show. However she thinks that she has established herself well in the industry and she will soon make a comeback within couple of months after marriage.
Neha Marda will bid adieu to the show in January 2012.

exactly gehna has no substantial role now

the story from last so months has been revolving aroung jagya anandi gauri, ds bhairon and sumitra, other characters just r fillers

neha can do better

I think you should not be upset.

Currently maybe this role is only utilizing 50% of her talent ... and this is a natural transition for her to become the fullness of who she is and explore new perspectives in her life (marriage, other shows) so that she can become 100% of who she is.

It is not necessary to have a job or stay in the same job to develop one's potential.

Lots of people who are stuck at 50% sometimes leave their jobs and prefer to be unemployed because the job will stunt them and keep them stuck... and the unemployment state/alternative plans will help them become 100%.
