Anandi's behavior irks viewers of Balika Vadhu!

Many viewers are finding the "mahaanta" of Anandi too much to digest! The girl has been playing a "poor me" victim and refuses to say anything to her wimp of a husband who has done nothing except torture in the recent episodes.

Jagya has married Gauri and got her home. He is not bothered about Anandi's feelings and is completely unaware of the havoc he has caused. However, Anandi is determined to act superhuman even now. She serves Jagya and Gauri food and doesn't utter a word. She is trying to be the exemplary bahu who doesn't fight for her rights and just has endless amount of patience! We thought that this soap is trying to show the evils of child marriage but the situation seems to be different. The soap is actually being used as an example of how a woman should behave.

On one hand, Anandi is turning into a martyr. On the other end, Gauri, the educated and the modern woman is completely going rural! Her speeches about rights has gone down the drain and she is happy in the same marriage, which she has abhorred from her very child hood! Quite a paradox, isn't it?

Thank God...there are people out there who do get "irked" by this character called Anandi...good to know its not just me 😆

arre main hoon naa this has got to be the most boring character, i see no spark in her, she can easily put me to sleep😆

Well said. Where is the spunky, curious Anandi , the child bride? Her questions and unrelenting attitude was what drove many viewers to the show.

Hope the creatives don't compromise the theme or the protagonist for the sake of TRP's.

Absolutely Anmol...😆😆 I havent come across such a boring character on Indian tv soaps(of course barring the Kekta serial bahus...thankfully I dont watch such shows)..., mahaan devi roop, sacrifice karne ke liye hamesha ready 😆 God ! there is nothing "real" about Anandi...

Ohh Anmol...its not just you and me...I know lot of others outside this IF who detest Anandi like characters...and outside the forum there are no rules ...so we do make fun of such characters as and how we want...you see 😉

i didnt knew A acts as a sleeping pill too😆why go to the doc to get insomnia cured and waste ur money😆

yaa she is an awesome talent, true but dont need extra sleeeping sessions, so i skip her parts😆aaj kaa part, bhi that was such faaltu

yaa amri i find the old a a lot better,even she suffered many hardships but she was always cheerful

So true!! I mean gauri keeps saying isme mera kya dosh he maine toh haalat se samjota kar liya all the time as if she came to know jagdish's truth after a decade of marriage to him...she couldve still married some very educated guy & moved on but she chose to marry jagdish legally again & now acts as if she has been let down...she keeps giving her childhood marriage as an example of injustice when she fully well knows that DS is actually from a village & is uneducated & has a traditional outlook...whereas anandi spent not only her childhood but almost her entire life being jagdishs wife...
