I am a silent reader of this forum and this is my first longest post on this forum.

I first started seeing this serial in Telugu (dubbed version) and the main reason for seeing it was younger Anandi and was really attached to the character. Later I realized the original version was way ahead already and instead of waiting started reading your updates here to catch up on the serial. Thanks for the all the written updaters

I feel BV is a very unique serial so far it never failed in delivering what it initially related to...as an eye opener for child marriages except for few things. Today's episode was a big step towards the child marriage message. It made me feel the anguish for the lost child hood of younger Anandi.

I am not good at writing but want to share my opinion here on some of the characters and how they are used to show the side effects of child marriage. I hope at least some of them out there got the message and moving forward BV doesn't divert the show away from this message.

Anandi

BV has portrayed this character very well and made sure it connected the audience very well by showing the extreme goodness(though unrealistic) in the character. This character reflects many uneducated women/girls in India who are still like this... sacrificing their dreams/aspirations for their husband/ family and forget what they really want and by the time they look back there isn't anything they have done for themselves.

I know Anandi could have revolted way earlier and got what she needed...without going this far...but that wouldn't have gotten the message to the people around there without showing the pain/end result of not getting educated and sacrificing everything(so the reason justifies not showing Anandi's education completed this far).

There are many girls out there who are in a similar situation who think their husband/family more important and brainwashed from very young to sacrifice everything for them. At least I feel Anandi was shown way better than the other girls out there by teaching in their village and fighting to get other girls in the village educated.

I have seen in this forum and outside also many of them have connected to this character. This episode will make you feel the anguish, tears and the lost dreams/childhood of younger Anandi. This episode will be a big eye opener for the people who are still following this custom and make them think back on why Anandi came to this situation and look back at how they could have avoided it.

So now they are trying to show the education of Anandi character and how she can come out of this situation and stand up for herself and showing it's never late at least you can fix it now instead of ending up depressed. This message is not only for the women in child marriages but also many uneducated women there who blindly sacrificed their life for their husband/family and forgot their dreams/aspirations

Gauri

This is complete contrast to Anandi's character. Through her they were able to show by getting out of a child marriage and getting educated how the girl always have a positive outlook towards life and how independent she is and don't have to depend on others if she ends up in a similar situation like Anandi in case where her husband left her for another woman. In Anandi's case she has the support of in laws but that is always not the case. The only complain with this character I wish she weren't the same girl Gudiya and the acceptance of Jagya was not so quick and make Jagya repent for some time and show how an educated girl could have teached a lesson for a selfish/manuplative Jagat.

Jagya/Jagat

This character representing many selfish males out there who feel they can get out of any situation in this male chauvinist society. By showing the character negative they showed the worst case scenario the child marriage relation may end up and make everyone question. If they shown this character a little better (like letting Anandi inform earlier/letting the parents know earlier) then Anandi's pain would have been less and parents would never have never realized their mistake of child marriage (with DS they showed the realization of her mistakes towards Anandi of not educating her and brainwashing her to be a good bahu... which only happened after Jagya left Anandi and opposed them). Also the message of the child marriage would not have been effective enough to the people who are following this custom and they might feel that everything will be ok. Only by showing the worst case scenario the message will go out well.

--------------------
Would now like to see how Anandi can get of this situation with education and also mainly the parents realize their mistake of child marriage. Also want to see how an educated girl like Gauri can make Jagat realize his mistakes and repent
Sorry for the long post but couldn't stop writing after today's episode...want to write on other characters but now will end here😊

Awesome post Shruthi.. tumne meri hu ki baat cheen li... bang on target. Anandi's character was so well justified, but i dont agree with the word 'unrealistic' that was associated to her. There are so many women out there who have suffered and sacrificed worse than her. So many women have made unlimited sacrifices for their husbands and families in the hope of keeping peace in the family.

Gauri's character and wish that she had taught Jagat a better lesson... I second that and your view of Jagya/Jagat's character.

I think Gauri has made a grave error by marrying Mr Liar Liar Pants on Fire aka Jagat. The fact that he had to bribe someone for the marriage isn't a good sign. Now he may love Gauri and things are hunky dory but what will happen when Gauri becomes better than him or things get tougher. This is same guy who couldn't bear Anandi topping the exams, this is also the same guy who left is his wife for another woman by lying to her face practically everyday.
In this case I think Gauri really loves Jagat a lot more than she bargained for because of this mirage Jagat has put in front of her. When things starts getting bad and he starts feeling insecure or there are other influences, Jagat's real stripes will start to show and Gauri will know who is the real Jagat. I am hoping she will see the big picture and leave him too coz he doesn't deserve anyone or their love.
There is no wrong in two adults, who love each other very much wanting to share the rest of their lives together in holy matrimony. Everyone should have the right to fall in love, choose their life partner and lead a life of their own.
Having said all of that since CVs want to make Gauri negative, well Jagat deserve it and more! I suppose she will eventually see his real character and will retaliate, thus making Jagat suffer😈
I am just happy Anandi is out of this relationship and will have a life and the education she deserves. So Gauri will get her revenge, Jagat will suffer (fingers crossed) and Anandi has success. All in all it's a win-win situation for all.😉
Finally a long overdue slap from Dadisa.👍🏼 It's so nice to watch it on loop😛

Well, since Anandi and Jagya's marriage itself is illegal (since the bride has to be 18 and groom has to be 21 acc. to Hindu marriage act) there is no need for a divorce to legalize Ga-ga wedding

This is what we are debating on another thread. Apparently it is legal.
Child marriages themselves are illegal but when they reach their major years, that is 18 and 21, they have 2 years to call it null and void in front of the court and if they don't do it , the marriage continues as a legal one.

This is there so that the child brides are not abandoned and in case the man tries to get married to someone else too. later in his life,

then , she will at least get the financial security from the court.

-====

This is the case with Anandi.

Jagya and Anandi , though it was child marriage, after they reached the age of 18 and 21 could have easily called the marriage null and void ( 2 years of time was there)

so until the age of 23... but they didn't as they were happily married at that time.

So Now that he is "fallen out of love and wants to marry another girl" ,
He has to make sure Anandi's life is secure and thats why these laws are here...

so that the girl is NOT left abandoned.

I hope the CVs show that and as per law, because Jagya and his family did not go to court and nullify it.
So legally, Jagya and Gauri's marriage is illegal according to the HIndu ACT of India
