guess half truth is more dangerous

but i have to clear my doubt,

ok they consummated but when .

i believe they were 18 +right, adults.correct me if i am wrong cos i have not watched it and will never do😆 so is it still a rape , tell me

so can jagat still be punished in the eyes of law

seriously, anmol no one wants to slap you ,only jagya😉 for the way he dumped anandi ..its cruel,zindagi mein 16 saal saath chalo,ek doosre ka sath do,woh tumhare har sapney ko saakaar karne ke liye apni jaan bhii lagaa dey with dreams of a whole lifetime of togetherness...Then one fine day you singlehandedly decide to breakup citing she is beneath your status,doesnt fit your current lifestyle and replace her with another girl ..These are relationships,koi purana TV thodi hai jo nayaa model bazaar mein aayaa toh badal diya kyunki puraane mein features kamm thhey..🤔 ..

I don't know whether you'll find counter arguments or not but no laws in the world can justify the horrible way he has treated anandi...using legal loopholes to justify cruel abandonment by spouse is just wrong ...

To be fair to intruder , jagya did not commit a crime or rape if he had sex with his wife when she was above 15 years as per IPC section 375.

Anandi remains a lawfully wedded wife since a child marriage is voidable but not automatically void as per current PCMA.

He did commit a crime under IPC section 494 by remarrying, under which he is punishable for a prison sentence which can extend upto 7 years and also a fine.

@Sonali, No child is illegitimate even if born out of a void child marriage or even a bigamous marriage, as per Law. It is the spouse which becomes illegal and does not have any inheritance right to her or his spouse.

I felt the need to point out the intricacies of law because of the widespread notion that the status of a child bride is illegal. She, who has suffered the horrors of child marriage in the end is recognized as nothing but illegal. All the years she invests in a marriage amounts to zilch.

She should be able to salvage at least her dignity from that and should be recognized as first wife, even if the marriage ends, that too properly with a divorce of mutual consent or voided mutually.

It is not only for the dumb Anandi but for the countless others whose stories are never told.
