hi,
if i am not wrong , nata pratha and deeyartvatu are same na..........in both case marriage is not done and brother will do deeyarvatu to bhabi by wearing shoes isnt it?
what is ur view on this???

i tihnk deeyarvatu involves a wedding..and natha pratha dsnt..am not sure bt i think they are different..

no wedding will not be in deeyarvatu case, in their widow bhavi will give shoes to devar to were( after that they will know as pati patini...............i have seen in gullal serial

No deeyarvatu is a subcustom of natha pratha. In natha pratha a woman can also live with man other than her devar. It also includes money paid by new husband to previous one and a woman can also do natha pratha if her husband is alive but in deeyarvatu a woman have to live wid her devar only and no money transaction is involved.
