There are actors who throw a fit and stall the shoot even if they sneeze and then there are actors who believe that the show must go on.Anjum Farooki of Balika Vadhu fame,falls in the latter category.The actress who burned herself badly after hot water spilled over her thighs did not call in sick.As it would have resulted in money going down the drain which the producers had spent for hiring a location for a pivotal scene.So the actress reported to the shoot despite the pain.Anjum accidentally spilled boiling water over her right thigh which later resulted in blisters over the affected area.She still reported for the shoot as the production house had spent a lot of money for an important scene where Jagdish and she own up to their feelings for each other.Her problems increased when her costume started brushing against the burned part.We then cut the portion of her salwar so that it didnt touch the thigh.We really appreciate her gesture and thoughtfulness, says a unitwala.When contacted,Anjum said,Yes,shooting was difficult but I managed with a lot of painkillers and by the end of the day,I was running temperature.
We hope that our drama queens take a cue from Anjum.
