as anu mentioned, the culture again teaches a child to be all giving - to think of pati as parmeshwar, to bow to his wishes and give anything, even her life, for his happiness.... so again, i dont feel her childhood justifies her deeds at this point of time, its her selfishness thats ruling now, not the values and dreams she learned as a child... what do u feel??
That's exactly i want to say that sometimes it's just a single wish that drives a person's whole life. people just become so clingy that they can't see any other thing, that's what give rises to all psychological problems. well age might differ, but somehow down the line, even sugna reacted in a similar whacky manner after pratap's death, when she knew about her pregnancy. She went against society's rules and got pregnant. Then citing it as pratap's aakhri nishani went on and had her baby. All at the cost of her family's name. So, situations might differ, but obssession is sometrhing that drives them to get what they want at any cost, right or wrong. Call them selfish opr anything, but for them it's just their wish which matters most.
