also basant has been brought up in an environment surrounded by male chauvinism where it is considered that a woman is born to look after her husband and produce heirs so he didnt think initially he was doing anything wrong. but gehna rebellion and badi jiji's opinions brought in a change in him and he is much nicer now.

I guess Gehna had put this condiiton tht Basant won't sleep in the same room right?

no instead she would go sleep outside and when dadisa had problems with that she would sleep in the guest room she slip back in before the others woke up. i think later when they got to know she is pregnant basant asked to sleep in the room while he offered to sleep in the guest room but she said she would sleep down and could use the bed but he insisted in reversing the arrangement. phew! so now they sleep in the same room but he sleeps on the ground.
