Maasa screams at Gehna for touching Anandi. She asks Gehna to step outside. Maasa then starts to scream at Gehna for being so irresponsible about her unborn son. Gehna tries to explain that this was not done in her house. Maasa tells her that it didn't matter what they did in her mother's house. In this house, Gehna will do what everybody has been doing all these years. Everyone comes there and watches. Maasa keeps screaming when Basanth tells her to stop yelling at Gehna. Maasa is shocked. She tells Basanth that now that he had a new wife and baby on the way, Basanth had changed. Basanth tries to reason with her, but Maasa walks away saying both her sons had become slaves to their wives.
Sumitra takes Gehna inside. Bhairav tells Basanth that he is happy that Basanth stood up against Maasa. Basanth is the only one who can change Maasa. If he won't support Gehna, then it will be difficult for her to live in this house. In her room, Anandi is again crying in front of Kanha's photo wondering why Daadisa thinks that by touching her, something would happen to Gehna's baby. Suguna comes there and consoles Anandi that it had nothing to do with her, in fact it was Daadisa's nature to scream at someone everyday.
Suguna tries to make Anandi eat. Jagya comes there and again bugs them both about what is wrong with Anandi. He thinks Anandi is pretending to be ill. Suguna gets bugged. She takes Anandi with her and tells Jagya to ask Daadisa all his questions.
Maasa is praying in her room ignoring Basanth, who is sitting there. Basanth tries to convince her that he didn't mean to upset her, but in fact he is worried that Maasa is unnecessarily stressing herself, which is why he had to step in. Maasa is convinced that Basanth understands her. Basanth again tells Maasa that she is the only one important to him. Some boring mutual adulation b/w Maasa and Basanth.
Anandi sleeps on the floor in her room. Suguna comes there. She shuts the door and window and asks Anandi to sleep on the bed and in the morning, before Daadisa wakes up, she could sleep on the floor. Anandi tells Suguna that she is very nice.
Basanth comes to his room and tells Gehna to not just take care of her physically but also her mental strength. He asks Gehna to listen to Maasa. She wasn't really mean hearted. Gehna tells him that she doesn't feel bad about Maasa's words anymore. Basanth tells Gehna that he worries about her.
Precap : Basanth and Bhairav are going over Suguna's gauna preparations. Sumitra comes running and tells them that Gehna was in a lot of pain. Basanth tells Bhairav to call the vaid, but Bhairav insists that they take Gehna to the hospital..
