Scene continues from last night. Daadisa tells Anandi's parents that she agreed to Anandi's studying upon Jagya's insistence. She then taunts Jagya about this who tells everyone he does not want Anandi to study further. Everyone is shocked. Bhairav asks Jagya what is wrong with him, Anandi too asks him why he changes his mind. Jagya says that if Anandi studied more she would stop respecting him. He angrily leaves from there. Daadisa keeps smiling slyly and tells Anandi's parents that she can't do anything now since Jagya has changed his mind about his bheendni. Gehna observes this and figures out this is all Daadisa's doing. Anandi runs away crying. Maasa sends Bhagwati behind her to console her.
In Anandi's room, Bhagvati tries to console Anandi..Same dialog about saasra, following their wish etc etc. Sumitra comes there and assures Bhagwati that she and Bhairav would try their best to fulfill Anandi's wishes. Since they stopped Suguna's studies, this would be their way of repentance. They go down, and Bhagwati apologises to Maasa saying she had told Anandi not to insist upon studying. Maasa again insists that she wasn't the problem, and Jagya was the one who didn't want his wife to study. Anandi's parents leave sadly.
At the dinner table, all the women are serving food. Anandi just stands silently next to Jagya. Daadisa tells Anandi to serve Jagya. Jagya however says he will do his own work. Daadisa is happy and taunts that Jagya didn't need anyone's help and he can do things on his own. Gehna again glares angrily at Daadisa.
Anandi comes to Jagya's room and asks him why he is upset. She keeps asking him why he changed his mind, when she never disrespected him, was he not her friend. Jagya says he is not her friend and drives her away. Anandi stands tearfully.
