In Bairi Piya Sequel

Sharad

....should now be this arraogant, suave, sophisticated,
overpowering 'get what I want' type of billioraine guy.......he doesn't need
to threaten anybody.....they fall over themselves to do what he wants.....
....he doesn't need to kidnap or force them.....they swoon over him....
...mothers don't hide their daughters from him.....they ask them to hook
him real fast.....

and we are talking of the prettiest girls on earth backed by daddy dear's check book........

...this way Sharad can now showoff all his designer clothes & accessories & attitude

Supriya is this reasonably middle class/poor girl who runs a ' Forging & Engineering Workshop'
left by her father. This is on the land adjacent to Sharad's Ball Bearing factory....and has been
bought by his comapany......

.......now starts their dance....

.....to be continued..........

Loved the whole storyline except for the inter-religious angle, dear. Not a good idea. The sequel would either never see the light of day, or it would be hauled off air faster than BP and with less reasons given.

Even the inter-gotra romance in 'Laado' had to be totalled off because it was getting the serial too many antagonists politically.

Inter-caste romances and marriages are fine, but an inter-religious romance for the lead pair has the production house and channel walking on eggshells so much that they can't actually focus on developing the characters or the story.

They tried it on Sony back when it had a lot of successful serials. The series I'm talking about was 'Aisa Des Hai Mera'. The heroine, born of a Punjabi Hindu father and a British Christian mother, was herself Christian, overtly so. But it wasn't getting good reactions, so they had her become more and more Hindu in manner and custom.

Even on Colors series 'Jeevan Sathi', the very show logo of which was the couple's hands and the Christian and Hindu marriage symbols, despite the popularity of the pair of Neal and Viraj, Viraj was finally married and went on to fall in love with a fellow Hindu Ishwar. The twists leading to that, however, were superbly written and executed.

Good reactions from people in charge and influential and powerful politically are more important than good reactions from the viewing audience.

A series can chug on with low TRPs, but not with antagonizing people who have votebanks to consider.

In a movie or series with an inter-religious marriage, even if neither of the couple convert, the religious community of the fictional girl start screaming their heads off in real life, making life hell for the channel and production house.

BP has had enough problems with controversies already. Let's try to keep the sequel absolutely controversyfree. It has a better chance of getting on air.

Oh, God. I love the way you write. 👏👏👏👏 Especially the barbs about LTL and Colors. 😆
'Jeevan Sathi''s Neal was played by the charming lead of YPNHK, and Ishwar was played by Aamir Dalvi from 'Jyoti'.
'Aisa Des Hai Mera' was also a damn good series, with fine leads.
But none of those pairings (and all three were great) were in the league - chemistrywise - of the electrifying effect DV and Amoli put on screen in BP.

You may be so right.......but it was more fun to ready your analysis of this situation across
TV channels & serials.......I used to wonder why they showed a soap where a fair girl is
shown black......now it makes sense .....that was the only safe storyline they could
come up with.......without crossing anyone.....hehehehehehe

I had not even heard of these serials .....'Jeevan Sathi' ?.....i thought Colors was
a new channel .......and they have already chopped or churned out so many shows??

oh well...
