Shaira and Azaan both came through and I have more faith in Azaan than Shaira. Precap was Shaira's dream, because you know Noor is cunning enough not to commit suicide when there is none to protect her. With Noor's suicide and Azaan telling her that he can't live without Noor, I don't think Shaira has a choice.
I have a few questions, can you answer from a neutral perspective? Maybe I am too emotionally engrossed in Shaira that I can't see it properly.
1 Do you think Noor is a good friend to Azaan? I am asking this because from the beginning they are showing that she sacrificed Azaan, as if he were a toy or didn't have an option to make a decision for his own marriage. Last night, when Azaan asked her not to create a situation where he has to choose one, as he will die, she asked him to send Shaira to her and asked Shaira to divorce Azaan so she can marry him, will he be happy leaving the woman he loves?
2 Do you think Noor is doing this for revenge?
I am asking this because she was very calm when Azaan explained whole situation to her, she was fine with Shaira and her mother's death, the moment she sees Azaan's name on her palm, she used Faiz's name to ask Azaan from Shaira. Again, is Azaan just a replacement of Faiz?
I have watched all episodes so far but find it difficult to connect with any character. I was glad Azaan had sensible scenes but the cliché writing spoils everything. Noor will take advantage of Azaan’s friendship and love as well as Shayra's guilt.
I do not think Noor is a good friend and the writers have written her character badly. Not enough time was spent establishing their bond to prove any deep connection. Azaan is loyal to her but she thinks only about herself. She did not make any sacrificies for Azaan that I could see, he loved someone else and no one could have forced him to marry Noor. All we have seen her care about is what she can get for herself and her insecurities due to Shayra's entry. It is obviously natural to grieve for a parent but beyond this, I wonder if she knows what real love or true affection is. Azaan's happiness or feelings do not matter to her, only her own.
Noor is trying to separate Shayra from Azaan, not just due to revenge but it seems out of envy, jealousy, a sense of entitlement and to unjustly make Shayra pay the price for ruining her plans. Her thinking also seems warped, immature or so strange that she will not accept the fire was an accident. Perhaps it is because she is depressed and grieving but again her motives look selfish and inexcusable.
I also felt relieved when Azaan seemed to make her understand but then in the next moment she was unreasonable again. Which made me think she is just using fate as an excuse to get what she always wanted. Faiz was good option after Azaan because he met all the criteria to be the perfect rich husband.
Aside from Raziya Begum, Azaan, Shayra, Yasmeen Khala and perhaps Saba, everyone in the haveli is matlabi and have no understanding of love, being loyal or fear of doing wrong...
I am just not enjoying the show, I have really tried to give the story a chance but the episodes are poorly written. The actors are giving their best performance though...
