Talking about Sitcoms, the first one that comes to our mind is Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. There are many reasons why the show was such a beauty. It was indeed the perfect definition of true and original content to make us go ROFL. Today's Sitcoms lack quite a few attributes, of which, creativity tops the list.
Let's have a look at the shortcomings of today's sitcoms:
First, quality acting.
Earlier, characters used to be minimalistic and their personalities, relatable. It was their dialogues and dialogue delivery that stole the show. However, now, comic actors think that they can make people laugh by over-acting and by simply repeating their signature lines. Every time something wrong happens, neither will the shout "Hey Maa! Mataji!" solve the problem, nor will it make us laugh!
Second, the stereotyping!
Let us take, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for instance. Whenever anyone in the show says anything, the whole society has to react to it! At first, the camera zooms in on Jethalal, and all those weird noises play in the background. Then, the camera zooms on to Sodi and the background music goes Balle Balle Balle. Next, it is time for the camera to go to Iyer with the background track playing Aiiyaiyo! And finally, the camera moves towards Dr. Hathi, with an elephant's roar in the background. Srsly..? Everytime...!
Why don't they just name it Taarak Mehta Ka Seedha Stereotype??
Third, the direction is crap!
Sitcoms need to be able to pick up fast! This is a tried and tested formula. Makers have tried creating suspense in comedy shows before, and, have terribly failed! But they still try to create the same old stuff. The audience has to watch it because they don't have anything else to watch! Episodic comedy has always been more successful, but who'd explain it to the makers?
Finally, the content.
What is up with the writers of these shows? It is difficult to understand, why do they keep on dragging the episodes! What seems to be funnier, is how they manage to stretch 10 episodes, all of it revolving around one person's engagement. Neither are they coming up with new content nor are they making any efforts to work up with their plot. There are so many genres, yet to be explored, but they are still stuck up with the same old spectacle.
The world famous comedy writer, Clive Anderson, says, "I do find myself surprised by the comedy shows that seem to have the same joke week in week out."
Considering all these points, his quote surely seems to make perfect sense, what say?

SAB TV is all set to launch its new show, Khidki. The makers have roped in popular names like Ashwairya Sakuja and Manav Gohil to essay pivotal roles on the show. The latest name to join the star cast is Pariva Pranati, who was last seen in another Sab TV show Badi Door Se Aaye Hai.
Pariva will be seen opposite to Manav Gohil. The story will be featuring an array of different stories, sent by the viewers. Manav and Pariva will be a part of one such story, playing a couple from a small town. How a vegetable "Lauki" becomes the main interest behind their love story is what will be the funniest part.
We spoke to the actor who confirmed the news saying, "Yes, I am a part of the episodic. It's an interesting character, and I am loving doing the episodic because you get creative satisfaction by getting an opportunity to play a different character."
wahi toh..Thanks hiyu for news actually bdash mein suspense ache se create is not like that ne hame sehna padta hain...dusre shows mein padta hain par yahaa nahi
