The story begins with the introduction to the Poddar and Biyani families getting ready for some function at their respective homes, where you see Vibhor Poddar and Reeti Biyani, the protagonists, both very alike in thinking, yet very much different in character. The Poddars are jewellers while the Biyanis are business oriented people. While the Poddars are looking for a bride for the youngest son of the family-Vibhor Poddar(22 years), the Biyanis are looking for a groom for their eldest daughter-Reeti Biyani(27 years). The Poddars and the Biyanis seem have a mutual hatred for each other, a dark past associated between both of them.
But, despite the hatred between the two families, Reeti's and Vibhor's fate seemed to have intertwined with each other. After several hits and misses between the two, they finally come face to face in Venetian Macau, where they come to attend a wedding of their relatives'. The Biyani family finally find a suitable groom for Reeti, Rajeev, with whom they would like to finalise the marriage with in Macau.
