My AU canon that I had been imagining for a couple of days now- Meera teasing Abhi about not kissing girls before her, kyun ki he would have pakka been a nerd 😆

But then, I'm wondering how Meera talks so confidently as if she's been in manyyy relationships😆...they've made no reference to her having any past boyfriends or relationships...she had like no opinion on shaadi before she suddenly agreed to get married...her only frame of reference in life seemed to be DDLJ😆

Actually wait...that's the thing about her...usne kuch experience kiya ho, na kiya ho...she is bindaas about it, period😆...she has the uncanny ability to put anyone on the backfoot in front of her...Abhi won't know what hit him😆

AY- But "loops" must fuse to give the story that balance and glow.

But honestly, like V-mentioned in the post AY referred , this show truly sold that slice of life feel. It's happy, gooey and so courageous .

I want to see how Dadi comes around..i think the last hurdle or so, about Meera leaving might be just for her and that.

You know whats special, the makers have let Meera shine on in these 2 weeks , totally made her the anchor and Abhi has been the silent support in all this. While the whole show worked to build him up, they chose the last phase for Meera- that is such a win. Warna, they could have given Abhi , the typical hero wala thing but nope, they really made Meera memorable there.

Mads - i doubt Meera has kissed anyone too. Ladki only got this comfy with intimacy with Abhi woh bhi apne aap.

I also wanted to see how Abhi-Meera tackle the idea of mess...lol cuz for all his lectures to Meera about messing up her bed, Abhi too just goes about tossing his clothes here and there in his room...socks yahaan, shirt wahaan...lol...toh dono mein se room ko "organize" kaun karta?😆

But Meera would have decorated his/their room so nicely...after all Meera ka aesthetic sense is very good as ND proudly proclaimed😆

Abhi . I am in LOVE with him. That precious smile of his and his blushing...this guy is love. My favourite scene of the episode has to be the Abhi-Babli-Meera scene. The conversation between the mother-son duo was so sweet and emotional. My heart kinda broke for Babli when Meera came wearing the lahenga (Meera looked radiant😳). The bond between Babli and Abhi is just heartwarming. But the best bits were Abhi's reaction to Meera's "so funny and romantic" and him being 'sharm se pani pani' 😆 at Babli's "ek dusre se fursat mil jayegi to woh toh karna hi hai". My cheeks still hurt from grinning while watching this scene 10 times. LOL. He couldn't help but half-cover his face. Awhh!! Oh oh oh, and the way he say gleefully said 'jao...jaldi jao" to Meera. I am seriously fangirling over Abhi today. And who can forget that pure adoration and warmth in his eyes whenever he looks at Meera?! His eyes twinkles from sheer happiness and love.

I absolutely love the ease in Meera and Abhi's relationship. It's so refreshing! Not just them; the effortless manner in which Meera interacts with everyone, especially Babli in this episode, is just amazing. Meera is far away from the complexities of true self, private self, public self, etc. Her uninhibited personality provides such ease and simplicity in all her relations. In fact every scene of Abhi and Meera's with cousins or Babli resonates such affection. Such great writing, direction and acting! These scenes are a JOY to watch.

Jaya draping the chunri on Meera was a beautiful scene. Agree with everything you said AY. I loved that Jaya got to do this. Meera drooling while sleeping was so cute😆. That was such a Meera moment. But the cutest thing that Meera did in today's episode was the way she ran to Babli wearing that lahenga. This girl is such a kid!!

The cousins were adorable as usual. I loved how they were pointedly eavesdropping on Abhi-Meera's conversation while shielding them. Kapil's expressions since last week has been the best. He is elated at everything Abhi-Meera. Anyway...I am still hung on Abhi's grins and blushing. Going to watch that scene again!

That Abhi got the solid writing, build up since day one...and Meera felt lighter on the writing side...so much you lamented about this...but look at how they've built this pay off in the final weeks...let her come into her own and how...and somehow they've made all those earlier epis worth it too then cuz if you go back and watch them now KNOWING that this payoff is going to come for Meera eventually...then it's a different experience of watching :)

This switch was required at this point because this confession is definitely more about Meera than Abhi...at the same time though, they've haven't shunted him to the side but made him just the right support...the balance is surprisingly good, man.

Mads - i doubt Meera has kissed anyone too. Ladki only got this comfy with intimacy with Abhi woh bhi apne aap. LOL maine bhi yehi bola...she's gotten comfy apne aap se hi...that's how comfortable she is in her own skin and her own mind once she knows what she wants...

Sighhh... All this after marriage discussion is making me so gooey happy.. As well as sad.. That we won't be able to get many of these..bas humare imagination mein hi reh jaayega.

Kitni baari we would have fought for HEa. N this show just gave it to us without us fighting for it... Doing justice to all the characters. Somehow managing the arcs.

This episode had so many gems... I can't even.. I'm just a happy soul!!!

Dude, I had really issues with them about Meera but now it really pays off because of what they have given her..it's like 100 khoons maaf thing.

And you know the way they have done, they haven't pushed Abhi behind, he is there..legit being the base . In true sense this is what you call, "Diya and bhaati'- I don't know what that means but I think you might get it. Meera is the flame and he is diya.

The thing why Meera clicks for Abhi because she will give him attention, entertain him..blabber and makes him relax and just be him while he understands her emotions best..it's written so nicely..and every darn thing makes sense now. Just because you see them so happy and so comfy with each other.

You know somewhere Meera would have pushed him to go for Engineering or something - i wanted to see that . And also , I have that feeling she would have taken to Pant house and would have turned into Abhi part 2 but with her own tadka simply because girl loves the family just like he does. They both have this love for Pant family which is mutual.

Baki , conflicts would have been very interesting.

Haan Meera definitely hasn't kissed anyone before either...I doubt she was even in love before, because remember her car convo with Abhi when Abhi tells her to distract her that he is in love and she goes all "wow, you are in love...kitni achhi waali feeling hogi woh" or something...

That being said, she can definitely still make him blush by blurting out such random things- in my AU canon head, there are QUITE A FEW of these things-some PG rated 😛😆

Edit: Anu, I am confident I will have A LOT to blab about the cake cutting segment...I still haven't even blabbed enough about the Q/A waala segment! 😆also, the title song of this show is Beautiful fell in love with it the day I saw this cast dancing to it in one of their promotional segments...😳 please try and rip it.

@genie: the diya aur baati reference- it basically means that the baati is itself getting burned with pride and honour while the diya shines on- yes, Abhi's love for Meera is definitely been something similiar. But I think unke case mein the feelings would have been the same from both sides. I totally see her pushing him to complete his engg (200%sure they had this planned post marriage) as she finds her own passion in managing the homestay and the crazy Pants...she would have become one of them, heck, she already is.

And word about them letting Meera shine on...its so obvious and truly beautiful of them to let her character have a centre stage and I think both PJ and ND know it too...from the way they are promoting the show on Twitter 🤗
