I know...am a little late to the RAYA party, when most people have already jumped off the ship!

But I started watching only mid-march with most of the toxic stuff (Vedika/Nandini scenes) on fast forward. I started visiting IF and the EDT sometime in April cause the perspectives on RAYA were very aesthetically expressed by many of you there. But I did not want to get into the addiction phase by joining in. I still got addicted...such was the magic of Nakul and Disha as Ram and Priya! Their chemistry is superlative!

I am a sucker for love stories filled with pathos and angst...but it should fall within the narrative and be true to the character arc, even if it ends in tragedy! They lost their way sometime right after Ram and Priya got intimate. The direction and editing fell apart, everything felt rushed and shoddy!

I feel this is what they had planned all along, since Priya has been carrying that numberplate around since day one. So shit was supposed to hit the roof when the truth came out. But we were fooled into believing we would be seeing the Ram who unequivocally supported Priya when the accident truth and Mr. Sood's reality came out. Especially since they have been showing him expressing his love for Priya at every given opportunity and also the fact that he admitted putting her ahead of his family some weeks back. But that was a ploy to fool us...

Deep inside he still harbours a lot of insecurities as far as his step-family and their well-being and his commitment to them is concerned. Nandini mom can send him on a guilt-trip and reduce him into a fumbling little boy trying to justify himself in the bat of an eyelid!!

Don't know how the story will unfold post leap...whether they will be able to do any justice to the RAYA love story after so much water under the bridge. I just wish they had not wasted away the magic Nakul and Priya had managed to create as Ram and Priya...those initial scenes still make my heart tug as long as I try not to remember what will follow:((

Thanks for appreciating! I could imagine him sitting there forlorn and heartbroken...reliving the past every moment of his life and Priya somewhere leading a content life with her little Pihu but with a deep void left in her heart by Ram😞

Its so beautiful and gut wrenching at the same time! I could imagine this play out before my eyes and if this were to happen, Nakul would nail this scene!

I fall into the same category dear - I started watching this sometime in Apr I think. When the promos came out, I liked them but somehow did not get a chance to see it. Saw few scenes on Youtube and then I started watching a couple of episodes to bring myself up to speed. Ram's love will never stand the test of time coz he is emotionally weak. Neither his head nor his heart in the right place ever. He spent most part of his adult life slogging for a family that never cared for him. He built an empire for them to ensure generations of their family can lead a lavish life, yet there was no one to ask him, are you feeling ok? Are you happy? His happiness never mattered to them and sadly it didn't matter to him either. The love of his life left him for the sake of money. He didn't begrudge her. But he continued to love her. He had never received love from his family. The true kind. The only person who probably cared about his happiness was his father and all he inherited from him was his ability to love selflessly without asking anything in return. While it is not a bad thing, how is not loving yourself sensible from any angle? As mami rightly said, Ram takes care of everyone but no one takes cares of him. While Shivi is not entirely bad, she too brushed him under the carpet many times over. Never acknowledging anything he did for her. On the eve of his wedding, he went out in the dead of the night just to fulfill her craving of eating cupcakes and she hugged Shubhu for that. And when he fell gravely ill, madam did not even bother to visit him coz she needed her beauty sleep. He was used to taking meds all by himself, eat food alone but that all changed when Priya entered his life. There was no love but there was a sense of responsibility towards their family and to each other. She never expected anything in return but selflessly devoted herself to him, to his happiness. While he fell hopelessly in love with her, she held herself back. Priya had been betrayed numerous times and she never wanted to fanthom a possibility to place her heart and trust in another person's hands but she eventually did. She could no longer run from Ram's overwhelming onslaught of love and care. Little did she know that the immense love Ram has for her will not withstand his own insecurities. Insecurities of a man who had never known what it feels like to be kept above all else. He knew how to shower love on Priya but he never learned how to process her love. The day he realises the truth, he will never be able to overcome the ramifications of his own actions. Your words are so beautiful, I am feeling inspired to write a OS, though its been ages since I wrote anything 😆 And i know I won't but there is this lingering thought at the back of my head that tempts me to. But not gonna torture anyone here with my lousy writing 😛

Very well expressed..you have brought out Ram's psyche beautifully! He is someone who never learned to love and value himself - other than his friend's no one ever cared for him! And he never begrudged anyone taking him for granted. This crazy girl walked into his life like a thunderstorm and turned his world upside down!

He was affected by her right from the beginning...

She was very different from any other woman he knew...a fiercely independent, no nonsense girl who is not afraid to call a spade a spade;

She puts him in his place, is rude to him, picks up a fight with him every time she sees him and yet he is intrigued by her;

Her simplicity, her dignity, her honesty...they compel him to take notice of her;

I love that scene when she walks in dripping wet in a raincoat, to sign the prenup papers and walks away leaving his precious Persian carpet unspoilt and his heart in turmoil;

That's the day he started falling in love with her and getting out of his Vedu spell;

Am glad you feel inspired to write an OS...please do so! One should never let creativity slide past...You will create your own vision of how you want to see RAYA. I am pretty sure it will be a beautiful vision...

Just saw a spoiler from a blurred script. Priya lies to Ram the baby belongs to Krish and Ram is heartbroken. This is the most sick twisted track ever. I don't think anything can salvage this show at this point 😭

This is just beyond pathetic...I truly pity the writers of this show...what exactly are they trying to show or prove?

This sounds like a third rate B grade hindi movie from the 80s...

This is like the he final nail in the coffin...they have decimated the purity of Ram-Priya relationship...if Ram really believes that his Priya was two timing him with Krish the crush then he is better off fighting his inner demons all alone in darkness!

And Priya is being the typical Mahaan ITV FL to sacrifice herself and take the blame for everything!!

I didn mind Priya being mahaan by taking blame for Shivi’s murder. But this is sick. I almost 🤮 y? Don’t tell him ur pregnant at all or deny it. Y do u want the father to believe the child is not his? Y do u want ur legitimate child to be called illegitimate? U want to pretend for ur own reasons u had an illicit affair, so be it! But you have no right to subject an innocent child to this suffering. I don’t care what reasons Priya had but this is beyond disgusting. I regret getting attached to this show and to think it was only two months. Had it been later I wouldn’t even bother giving it a try knowing what happened. The only thing that lifted my mood today is Jenny is back with Code M s2. Something to look forward to. Am off. I need to get RaYa out of my head forever.
