I read a lot of posts bout why Ram should know bout all Vedikaa kaands. But is it really important ? Isn't it more beautiful that despite all MUs the couple still trust the bond they have and support each other unconditionally? This is where the show is so different than rest of ITV shows where the leads doubt each other at every chance. I for one like that despite all the misleading situations created, they still trust their instincts and their understanding of each other. Loved when Priya after remembering all ram vedika scene remembered how Ram had asked her to trust HIM which is why she still has some hope. Any other show and the FL would have walked out crying (with background music - dil Jude Bina hi tutt gaye). Also Ram before making any judgement about Priya always introspects "main jaanta hu Priya ko...."
Ram not thinking bad of Vedika or helping her as much as he can, is admirable. This guy loved her and trusted her for years and at least he is not fickle with his emotions. Yes..after knowing Priya, he moved on but that doesn't mean he should deny the feelings he had for V. He still respects her and can't comprehend that she can be evil. Yes.. he doesn't love her anymore and he was clear about it from the very beginning. Remember the secret meeting scene where he told V that he had switched off his feelings for her now. He again reemphasized that when he asked her to leave. All this actually shows strength of his character and i find this character so much more real and sensible than the over the top MLs in most shows.
And Priya depicts any modern independent woman. Her distrust of men is convincing coz of her trauma related to her father. Despite that, the way she tries to change herself, challenge her beliefs and be vulnerable where Ram is concerned is so adorable. I also like that she doesn't want to belittle her relationship by questioning him at every turn. Despite so many indications that Ram is cheating on her, she didn't jump to conclusions and keep trusting her instincts on Ram. Finally after hearing the truth also she is willing to still give him benefit of doubt that he can be untainted. Loved that.. finally a strong sensible FL. She still holds herself back... But that makes her human. There is a stark difference in her thoughts before and after marriage. Yes the change is slow but it's suiting her and I am loving the slow burn... :))
And the best are the actors.. NM and DP are fab. They make the characters so real and believable. Especially NM.. he had created Ram with such a unique personality, goofy, super emotional, caring, kiddish, yet strong when required and quite intelligent. I just love the way he acts silently.
Ok too long a post.. but it's two days.. and wanted a little dose of BALH...to ease the wait :)
